Curriculum

The Master of Science in Business Analytics degree requires 33 units, taken in 3 semesters (with the flexibility of extending to 4 semesters): Fall, Spring, Fall, including 21 units of required coursework plus 12 units of coursework chosen from a list of electives. The program may be completed on a full-time (3 or 4 courses per semester) or part-time basis. All students must take GSBA 524, DSO 510, and DSO 545 in the first semester. Part-time domestic students will be required to take GSBA-524 and DSO-510 in the first semester; however, in subsequent semesters they may take as few as 1 course per semester.

Students who have taken one or more of the required courses elsewhere may petition to replace these courses with electives and/or appropriately related courses offered by the Marshall School of Business or the Viterbi School of Engineering. Such a replacement must be approved by the program director prior to registration for the course.
