Advertising Red Books
Detailed information on US and international advertising agencies and advertisers.  Use Quick Search or Advanced Search  to access the Agency database, the Advertiser database or both.

Bloomberg
Financial information and much more is available on the Bloomberg terminals which can be found in the Crocker Business Library (HOH 201), Accounting Library (ACC 105) and Popovich Hall (JKP 201J and JKP 300).

BoardEx
Detailed information on board members of publicly-listed firms. Available only to Marshall faculty, staff and PHD students. See library staff for access information.

Business Periodicals Index Retrospective: 1913-1982 (H.W. Wilson)
Provides indexing and citations to articles from a wide range of historic business journals.  Full text of the articles may be available in print or electronic form through the Library collections or Interlibrary Loan.

CCH IntelliConnect

Data-Planet Statistical Datasets
Data-Planet (formerly ProQuest Statistical DataSets) is an interactive database that allows users to create tables, maps, and figures from a variety data sources including areas such as banking, economics, housing, construction, industries, employment, stocks, transportation, and more.

Datastream
A financial database available for Faculty and PhD research provided through a virtual lab system.  Please contact the Marshall Help Desk for access and review the instructions found here.

EBSCO Business Source Complete
Articles from business journals, magazines and newspapers including the Harvard Business Review, McKinsey Quarterly and many others.  Available only to Marshall users through the Crocker Library widget on your MyMarshall home page.  Look for the dropdown list of databases.

Information from several Gale reference works including Ward's Business Directory, Encyclopedia of Governmental Advisory Organizations, Directory of Special Libraries and Information Centers, Directory of Databases, Information Industry Directory, Directory of Publications and Broadcast Media, Encyclopedia of Associations, National Faculty Directory and the Research Centers Directory.

Gale Virtual Reference Library
Encyclopedias and reference works on a variety of subjects. Includes company histories and business plans handbooks.

Gartner (USC NetID/webmail password required for access)
Technology research and consulting reports. USC does not have full access to all reports.

Global Financial Database
An extensive collection of financial and economic data series including interest rates, commodity prices, government debt, economic indicators, exchange rates, stock indexes, and much more. Historical data goes back hundreds of years in some cases. To begin, select the "GFDatabase" search engine and then select "Search My File Permissions." USC does NOT subscribe to the GFD databases for company stock information or real estate. You can search those databases, but you will not be able to retrieve data from the search results.

Mergent Horizon
Provides financial data and highlights the relationships between a company's major customers, suppliers, partners and competitors, details the hierarchies of company products and services, analyzes data for sector aggregates, and more. Most of the Horizon data has now been incorporated to Mergent Online. Please look for the “Horizon” tab on any company record.

Mergent Online
U.S. and International public company data including inactive companies. Detailed financials including historical stock information, SEC filings and annual reports.

Mergent WebReports
Online access to scanned images of the Moody's/Mergent manuals. These provide financials, corporate histories, business descriptions, and information on subsidiaries, officers, and municipal debt in some cases back to the early 1900's.

Mint Global
US and international company information from Bureau van Dijk including Marketlilne market research and company reports (same content as Orbis with a different interface).

Mintel
Detailed market research reports in the areas of Beauty & Personal Care, Drink, Food, Leisure & Entertainment, Lifestyles, and Retailing and Apparel. Users must create a personal account and reports can only be downloaded one section at a time.

Morningstar Direct (Available  through Marshall network)

ProQuest Statistical Insight abstracts include a detailed description of a publication's statistical contents and primary bibliographic information like title, date, collation, agency report number (if any), and periodicity.

RAND California/State Statistics
Social science data from this influential research organization covering all 50 states including additional detailed data for CA, TX and NY..

RDS

Directory database of over 14 million US businesses.

Roper Center iPoll
An archive of public opinion survey data which allows users to search a database of survey questions (iPoll) or download data files directly (RoperExpress). Some of the surveys relate to business issues.

SDC Platinum

SimplyMap
Web-based mapping application enables non-technical users to quickly create thematic maps and reports/tables using extensive demographic, social, business and marketing data.

Statistical Abstract of the US (ProQuest) 2013-
An online publication of key statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States.

Wall Street Journal (Historical)
The Wall Street Journal offers full page and article images with searchable full text from the first issue in 1889 to 1993. For more recent issues, please see the ABI/Inform or ProQuest databases.

WARC
Previously known as the World Advertising Research Center, WARC provides a wide range of information on advertising and marketing trends around the world including expenditure data, case studies, industry trends and consumer insight.

Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS)
Collection of databases designed for standardized quantitative analysis.  Available datasets include Audit Analytics, Bureau van Dijk, COMPUSTAT, CRSP, CUSIP Master File, Corporate Library, EVENTUS, I/B/E/S, IRI, MFLINKS, NYSE TAQ and Thomson Reuters and more. 

World Bank Worldwide Development Indicators
Provides direct access to more than 700 development indicators, with time series for 208 countries and 18 country groups from 1960 to present. A subset of these data can be viewed graphically within the World Bank's Data Visualizer.

Zephyr
International M&A, IPO and venture capital deals with links to company information from Bureau van Dijk.
