Why did you choose Marshall?

After several informal conversations with current and former full-time MBA Marshall students, a campus visit, and attending MBA socials and informational lectures, I realized the extraordinary opportunities for professional growth at Marshall. USC offers the Lloyd Grief Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, innovative courses and programs, such as The Global Context of Business, the flexibility to take all elective courses after one semester, and of course, the Trojan Network, arguably the strongest alumni network of any university in the world.

What surprised you the most about Marshall?

I had an idea about specific professors or events, but I vastly underestimated how much I would learn every single day. I learn and am inspired regularly from my classes, classmates, speakers, workshops, club events, business cases. I learn by taking on leadership roles that push my skills and from attending speaking events in industries with which I have limited knowledge.

Favorite USC Marshall Core Class:

Management Communication for Leaders

Favorite USC Marshall experience:

I loved orientation.  The days were long but filled with events to get to know my new classmates, teammates, about Marshall and about LA!

What you wish you knew before attending business school?

In terms of prepared academically, anyone succeeding in their career is prepared for business school.  However, the first semester is faced-paced and reviewing basic math, accounting and finance skills before school starts will put you ahead of the game!
