May 8, 2014 • by Fernando Zapatero

As you know, we take great pride in offering a business school curriculum that is both leading-edge and forward-looking. These programs equip students with critical tools for career success in a shifting global economy.

It is a hallmark of a USC Marshall education – and the driving force behind five exciting new master's degree programs.

I am pleased to share program details here, and hope they may be of interest to you and to others in your professional and personal circles.

  • The new Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation is a fast-paced program designed for innovators looking to lead new ventures in large corporations or independently. This program introduces frameworks in combination with highly experiential coursework; business leaders and investors serve as key student mentors. Information is available at http://www.marshall.usc.edu/msei or by contacting Professor Andrea Belz by email ms.ei@marshall.usc.edu or phone (213) 821-0877.

  • Master of Science in Social Entrepreneurship is designed for those who want to learn how to use business models to make a tangible difference on issues ranging from poverty and education reform to environmental protection, and more. The program brings students from a wide variety of backgrounds together to focus on the balance of income generation and social missions. Classes start this August; complete the degree in one year, and prepare yourself for a for-profit or non-profit career in social impact. • The new Master of Science in Business Analytics will provide students the expertise to make business decisions in an uncertain environment – observing and predicting new market trends and patterns, using large and unstructured data sets. We are currently accepting applications for fall 2014. Find more information at www.marshall.usc.edu/msanalytics, or contact us at MS.Analytics@marshall.usc.edu.

  • With its mix of academic and experiential content, the Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management prepares students for a successful career in supply chain management and includes Lean Six Sigma certification. The degree is offered as a 12-month, on-campus program or as a 16-month, online program for working professionals. Students in the program enjoy the resources of USC Marshall's Center for Global Supply Chain Management, which hosts industry speakers and roundtables and the opportunity to network with supply chain professionals from leading companies. • The new Master of Science in Finance enables students to earn a graduate degree without waiting to acquire the years of work experience required for admission to an MBA program. This accelerated program – which runs for three consecutive terms over the course of one year – offers an advantage to financial innovators with courses on the role of finance in corporations, investment analysis and portfolio theory and forecasting and risk.
