Greg Patton, professor of Clinical Business Communication, is an expert in interpersonal and leadership effectiveness and has received numerous teaching awards at USC for preparing the next generation of leaders. Now, his distinguished acumen of communications is being recognized by his peers at the National Communication Association (NCA) for his overall contribution to the field. Later this year, Patton will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Training & Development. With extensive international experience, he has trained, coached, and mentored thousands of leaders worldwide, and created scores of successful leadership programs in the realm of communications.

The NCA’s Training and Development Division, which is committed to the growth and quality of communication training, has also bestowed Patton awards in the past, including the Professional Achievement Award in 2015 and the Top Panel Award in 2014, 2017, and 2021.
