The Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation is offered as a full-time, 1 year or part-time 2 year program designed for early and mid career professionals. Individuals with a passion for entrepreneurship gain critical skills and knowledge they need to create the next great companies of the future. MSEI students learn that the structure of starting and growing a new venture is an all-encompassing format for understanding an entreprenuerial career. The program fosters the entrepreneurial mindset, educating and inspiring future entrepreneurs to change the world.

MSEI PROGRAM BENEFITS

  • Students in the MSEI program are eligible to enter exciting venture competitions that validate their concepts and give life to new ideas. From new venture seed competitions to women's pitch competitions to contests in social entrepreneurship, students have access to influential venture funds totaling over $350,000.

MSEI CURRICULUM

Academic Overview

MSEI students complete 27 units consisting of Pre-Fall, Fall core, Spring core, and elective coursework. All MSEI students must be available to attend and complete the Pre-Fall course (BAEP 551) on 8/13/24–8/22/24 from 8:00AM–6:00PM. There are no exceptions. PDP students must be able to enroll in a minimum of 6 units of core in the 1st Fall semester and 3 units of core in the subsequent Spring semester.

A Message From the Director

The MSEI Program presents an integrative perspective into the process of starting a new business entity or starting a major new endeavor within an existing corporation. Whether you already have an idea and are eager to start your own business, or if you are in the discovery phase seeking to find a new idea, or if you simply want to learn more about what an entrepreneurial or corporate entrepreneurial career would be like, the MSEI Program exposes you to the challenges and endless opportunities of entrepreneurship. 

As a MSEI student, you will learn that the structure of starting and growing a new venture is an all-encompassing format for understanding an entrepreneurial career. It touches all the relevant issues — but there is more to entrepreneurship than passion, desire and perseverance. Entrepreneurs have a unique mindset, a way of looking at things that are opportunity-focused and creative. It’s about passion–doing what you love.
