What surprised you most about Marshall?
Everyone says it, but the environment is genuinely collaborative. Everyone comes from different backgrounds, so we leverage and draw on each other strengths. For example, throughout the semester students volunteer to lead review sessions to help other classmates who need extra support.
What do you wish you'd known before attending business school?
Be prepared to hit the ground running. The first couple of terms are intense with the core classes and you need to manage your time effectively. Especially if you are not coming from a quant background, I recommend brushing up on your accounting skills before attending.
On another note, there are so many opportunities available within Marshall, it is impossible to attend all of the workshops, social and networking events. You will have to prioritize what is important to you and make trade-offs.
What leadership positions do you hold at Marshall?

Why did you choose Marshall?
Culture, Network & Location: I visited Marshall prior to accepting, and learning more about the school from the previous students, it was evident how open, social, and supportive the environment was at Marshall. Moreover, as a career switcher, I have already recognized how strong the Trojan Network is, especially with how willing alumni are to take time to help you. And it doesn’t hurt that Marshall is located in sunny Los Angeles.
