What surprised you most about Marshall?
Marshall is very student-driven. Almost all of the career and skills training that we receive outside of the classroom is conducted by fellow students. Everyone is willing to share their experiences and help one another out whenever possible. Students have even helped redesign the curriculum recently. This level of student engagement helps make the experience so special.
What do you wish you'd known before attending business school?
Learn to say "no." There are so many great opportunities that begin immediately and it was easy to quickly get overwhelmed. Taste a bit of everything early on, but quickly prioritize what is important so that you can spend your time wisely.
What leadership positions do you hold at Marshall?
I chose to focus on academics and recruiting in the fall but I'm looking forward to finding leadership positions in the spring.
Favorite USC Marshall Experience:
Core C winning TAM Day - The capstone event of first-year orientation week is Teamwork at Marshall which is a field day event with a variety of team-building activities. It was a great way to learn more about my classmates while bonding together, having a ton of fun, and making a fool of myself in the process.
Favorite USC Marshall Core Class:
Which clubs are you involved in?
Marshall Consulting and Strategy Club, Operations Management Club, Marshall Data Analytics Club, Marshall Sports Business Organization, Marshall Wine Club, Marshall Soccer Club, Marshall Golf Club, Marshall Outdoor Club, Challenge 4 Charity
Why did you choose Marshall?
I wanted to attend a top-25 MBA program, ideally located in Southern California. From there, three things sold me on USC Marshall: the Trojan network, the collaborative atmosphere, and Marshall's track record of successfully placing students into consulting firms.
