On May 5, the USC Marshall School of Business celebrated faculty and staff at the 2026 Faculty and Staff Awards for their outstanding leadership, mentorship, research, and service at Marshall and the USC.
USC presented Kristin Diehl, professor of marketing, with the Provost’s Mentoring Award, which honors an individual faculty member who demonstrates exemplary mentoring through investment in and generosity toward the academic and professional success of the university community. It is one of the most prestigious honors given to faculty.
USC presented Nandini Rajagopalan, Joseph A. DeBell Chair in Business Administration and professor of management and organization, and Greys Sosic, senior vice dean of faculty and academic affairs with the USC Mentoring Awards for Faculty & Postdocs; Kristen Schiele, associate professor of clinical marketing, with the USC Mentoring Award for undergraduate students; and Sha Yang, professor of marketing, with the USC Mentoring Award for graduate students. USC Marshall presented Christopher Jones with the prestigious Dean’s Award for Community.
“Marshall’s research awards recognize faculty whose work does much more than add to the scholarly conversation,” said Peer Fiss, associate vice dean for research. “Rather, their work shapes that conversation, it opens up new lines of inquiry, and, in many cases, changes how people understand important problems in business and society. What makes these awards especially meaningful is that they reflect the remarkable breadth of research here at Marshall; they include foundational work but also work with clear impact on practice and public life.”
We congratulate the following exemplary members of the Marshall community:
