Data Sciences and Operations

Yingying Fan has been elected to one of the four USC Academic Senate Executive Board positions.

Zijun Gao recently had a paper accepted by the International Conference on Machine Learning titled, “Partial Identification under High-Dimensional Potential Outcomes and Confounders via Optimal Transport.”

Mladen Kolar has been elected an Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) Fellow.

Waverly Wei had a paper recently accepted by the International Conference on Machine Learning titled, “Large Language Model Augmented Semi-Supervised Statistical Inference.”

Management and Organization

Andrea Dittmann had a paper published in Group Processes & Intergroup Relations titled, “The Roots of Solidarity: Social Class Identity Is Associated with Support for Reducing Inequality.”

Marketing

Yanhao (Max) Wei received the 2025 John D.C. Little Best Paper Award for the best marketing paper published in any INFORMS journal titled, “Estimating Parameters of Structural Models Using Neural Networks.”

Yanhao (Max) Wei had a paper accepted at Management Science titled, “Estimation Bias from Machine-Learned Features in Econometric Models.”

Lan Luo was named the holder of the Jerry and Nancy Neely Chair in American Enterprise.

Stephanie Tully was named the holder of the Dean’s Associate Professorship in Business Administration.

Evan Weingarten was named holder of the Robert R. Dockson Assistant Professorship in Business Administration
