Lauren Chapman Bellemare has always believed in the power of legacy. It shaped her childhood as the daughter of a proud USC Mashall alumnus, guided her education, and now fuels her work as founder of L’Heritage Fine Jewelry, a brand centered on craftsmanship and meaningful design. That leap into entrepreneurship was years in the making and one she traces back to her undergraduate experience at USC.

For nearly fifteen years, Bellemare worked in corporate roles at Deloitte and PepsiCo, developing expertise in strategy, operations, sustainability, and mission-driven initiatives. Over time, she began to feel pulled toward something more personal.

“I realized I wanted to do something that felt more enduring,” Bellemare said. “I wanted to build something of my own.”

Bellemare credits her time at USC Marshall with shaping both her business mindset and the confidence to pursue entrepreneurship.

“Marshall shaped how I think about business,” Bellemare said. “The analytical foundation, the real-world application, and the support of the Trojan Network gave me the push to create my own legacy.”

One standout experience paired USC Marshall business students with peers in the engineering and fine arts schools to design, build, and market a product, an early preview of the integrated thinking she now brings to her jewelry brand.

Just as influential was the school’s entrepreneurial culture and the strength of the Trojan community, where ambition and a genuine commitment to supporting one another extended well beyond graduation. Together, those experiences gave her the foundation and confidence to build a business rooted in creativity and purpose.

“A lot of the foundation I learned comes from Marshall, and then there’s the other side of it — where I can come up with designs, have them implemented, and see them in my hand just a couple of weeks later,” Bellemare explained. “At least in my mind, the world’s my oyster, and it’s very fun.”

After USC, Bellemare continued that commitment to learning by returning to school to study gemology while still working full-time. She earned her graduate gemologist credential from the Gemological Institute of America, which gave her the technical expertise and the creative confidence to launch L’Heritage Fine Jewelry.

Bellemare launched her company in 2024 with a focus on jewelry that carries emotional significance.

Owner, L’Heritage Fine Jewelry.

“L’Heritage is rooted in creating modern heirlooms,” Bellemare explained. “I love pieces that feel meaningful today and are intended to be passed down.”

Her designs draw heavily from European decorative arts, and she collaborates with artisans who specialize in rare techniques such as enamel guilloché and Essex crystal. Each piece is crafted with intention and reflects her belief that jewelry can tell a story.

Bellemare’s time leading philanthropic and community programs at PepsiCo shaped how she thinks about impact today. That ethos carries into L'Heritage: one of her most meaningful projects as a founder has been a piece designed to support Hill Country flood disaster relief, a cause close to home given her childhood summers at Camp Mystic.

“Jewelry often marks significant moments,” Bellemare said said. “It felt important to create something that could support others in a real way.”

As L’Heritage grows, Bellemare hopes her journey will encourage future Trojans to follow their passions, uplift their communities, and build legacies of their own.
