Gale's premier periodical resource provides peer-reviewed, full text articles from over 17,000 scholarly journals and other authoritative sources covering business and economics, health and medicine, political science, media and other subjects.

BCC Research
BCC Research provides detailed market research reports for industries such as biotechnology, chemicals, consumer, energy, engineering, environment, finance, food/beverage, fuel cell/battery technology, healthcare, IT, instrumentation, manufacturing, medical devices, nanotechnology and pharmaceuticals.  Instructions: Go to 'Member Login' at upper right and click 'IP Authenticate' to search.

During COVID, Bloomberg provided temporary, virtual access to its terminals. This access expired June 30, 2022.

Users can access Bloomberg at the following physical locations. non-Marshall students must request a daily guest password from the Circulation desk in the Business Library:

  • 4 terminals in the Business Library located in Fertitta Hall (JFF)
  • 1 in the Accounting Library (ACC)
  • 2 in JKP - on the 2nd floor (computer lab at the north end), and 3rd floor (Room 300)

Provides full-text articles from more than 420 publications, and indexing and abstracts for more than 900 publications dating back to 1981. Business Periodicals Index Retrospective: 1913-1982 (H.W. Wilson)
A valuable resource for business history research, Business Periodicals Index Retrospective: 1913-1982 is an archive index covering nearly 70 years of business scholarship. Indexing and citations include scholarly journals, trade publications, magazines and the complete files of Industrial Arts Index (1913-1957).

Capital IQ
The research division of S&P Global, one of the world's largest providers of ratings, data, research, and the S&P Dow Jones Indices. Offers accurate data on 64 million business and 307 million consumers. Find jobs by skills, location, and industry; find business opportunities; locate companies nationwide; research business executives; view historical market trends; and find addresses and phone numbers.

Statistical datasets that allow users to create tables, maps, and figures from areas such as agriculture, energy, health statistics, business, labor, natural resources, consumption and COL, banking, education, government, housing, defense, population and transportation. 

Datastream is a global financial database which contains current and historical data on stocks, indices, bonds, funds, futures, options, interest rates, commodities, and economic indicators.  It is available for Faculty and PhD research only and is provided through Refinitiv Workspace, via MyMarshall.

Roper Center Public Opinion Archives (with iPOLL)
Provided by the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research at Cornell University, Roper iPoll is the largest collection of public opinion poll data, with results from 1935 to the present. It contains nearly 800,000 questions and over 23,000 datasets from both U.S. and international polling firms. Surveys cover topics including business, social issues, politics, international affairs, the environment, and more.

SAGE Research Methods

WRDS (Wharton Research Data Services)
Collection of databases designed for standardized quantitative analysis.  Available datasets include Audit Analytics, BoardEx, COMPUSTAT, CRSP, IBES, IRI, OTC Market, TAQ, and more.  Grad students and Faculty are eligible to register for personal accounts here, which allows for saving data on the WRDS server. All other users may have a Day Pass by entering their USC email under 'Connect to WRDS'.  Please note: WRDS suspends access in summer for graduate students.

Detailed information on US and international advertising agencies and advertisers.  Quickly identify key decision-makers at brands/companies, agencies, and ad-tech companies; provides the agency/client relationship, including which aspects of the budget (digital, OOH, print) that each agency controls; shows what the advertising budget for each client is, broken across media format and which quarter the ad spend occurred in.

World Bank Databank
Analysis and visualization tool that contains collections of time series data on a variety of topics, such as national statistical systems of developing countries; education statistics; gender statistics; and health nutrition/population statistics. World Development Indicators (WDI) is the primary World Bank collection of development indicators, compiled from officially recognized international sources.
