The Southern California Commercial Spaceflight Initiative is dedicated to leading edge scholarship in entrepreneurship within the context of the commercial spaceflight industries. Dr. Autry and other USC researchers work management scholars from around the world on data collected from the exciting world of commercial spaceflight.
SCCSI generates an annual report on the Economic Contribution of Commercial Space Activities to the Southern California Economy. This reference document in a valuable resource for local, regional, state and federal policy makers requiring a better understanding of the current and future economic significance of the aerospace industry in the SoCal area.
The Initiative also produces non-technical articles for University and business journals that make our research and that of other management scholars accessible and exciting for practitioners in business and government.
Our publishing activities also include writing teaching case studies based on Southern California space firms. These case studies are part of the growing USC Marshall/Greif Center Case Collection which are distributed through Harvard Business School Publishing for educators and are taught around the world.
