The Practicum in Business Issues (Internship) course (BUAD 495) combines classroom discussion and field application of business theories and practices. This course is taken in conjunction with an internship. Internships may be obtained through the regular methods of finding employment (e.g. Career Center, Marshall Career Source, networking, etc.). The student must complete all class assignments and is expected to intern a minimum of 8-10 hours per week in order to obtain one unit of credit for this class. The course is graded on a Credit/No-Credit basis.
The BUAD 495 Summer Internship Scholarship Fund encompasses Marshall Undergraduate Programs’ efforts to increase diversity and inclusion efforts for students. Accessibility to financial resources for unpaid internships allows students to focus on the experience of a summer internship that could lead to increased chances of finding a full-time position post-graduation.
The BUAD 495 Scholarship fund is available to assist students with the 1-unit course fee for the Summer 2019 term. The application is due April 19, 2019 at 5:00 PM.
