Undergraduate Student Organizations at Marshall
The Marshall School of Business has a number of undergraduate student organizations, as well as a student government. Our student organizations are rooted in practically every academic concentration within the Marshall School. This provides a vehicle for you to interact both socially and professionally with other students who have the same academic focus outside of the classroom. Involvement in our student organizations also allows you an opportunity to develop skills critical to business such as networking, teamwork and leadership.

Accounting Society The Accounting Society is a professional student organization within USC's Leventhal School of Accounting. We are dedicated to exposing students to academic and career issues in the financial and accounting world. Through opportunities to meet other individuals studying or working in the field of accounting, members develop strong relationships with faculty, alumni, professionals, and fellow students. Accounting Society's activities include a professional-student mentoring program, weekly speaker engagements, firm socials, office tours, community service projects, professional development workshops, and club social events. Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) is the leading professional association dedicated to enhancing opportunities for Latinos in the accounting, finance and related professions. ALPFA creates opportunities, adds value, builds relationships for its members, the community and its business partners while expanding Latino Leadership in the global workforce. Our Shared Valuses include Professional Growth, Relationship Building, Inclusiveness, Service, Integrity and Culture. The ALPFA Los Angeles Chapter currently has over 400 members in its database and is continuing to grow. We are comprised of professionals from all of the Big Four accounting firms, regional and local firms, financial services professionals and students from local universities. Additionally, while accounting and finance is our focus, the recent expansion of the profession into the consultative nature of the practice has led our members to exemplify a broad spectrum of interests, education and experience that are represented in the accounting, tax and finance industry. Asia-Pacific Student Entrepreneurship Society The Asia-Pacific Student Entrepreneurship Society (ASES) features an unparalleled global network of entrepreneurial students and professionals that stretches across the Pacific Rim. Started at Stanford in 1998, our global presence spans ten countries with chapters in Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Taipei, India, Australia, and more. The ever expanding ASES Global network is a tremendous asset for aspiring business professionals on both sides of the Pacific. The University of Southern California Chapter of ASES builds on our university's international strengths, particularly in the Asia-Pacific, as well as it's history in producing successful entrepreneurs around the world. The organization provides students of all backgrounds with the opportunity to learn about doing business in the burgeoning region of the Asia-Pacific through internationally versed speakers from business start-ups to high-level corporate executives, industry tours, our semi-annual global ASES Summit, along with other events. USC Marshall's Asian American Business Association (AABA) is a professional business student organization. AABA was established more than twenty five years ago with the intention of bridging the gap between students at USC and opportunity. As a Marshall Student organization, AABA emphasizes professionalism and cultural awareness by providing students a number of services: job opportunities, career workshops, corporate events, guest speakers, mentoring programs, and networking socials among many other developing programs. In recent years, AABA has held exclusive events with companies such as Toyota, Ogilvy and Mater, Merrill Lynch job-shadowing, Citibank, and the Wynn Hotels. The organization is committed to offering students the best opportunities in order to meet the expectations of a competitive business world.
AABA hopes to continue to build on a banner year after capturing six of the Marshall School of Business student organization awards in 2006-2007, which includes Marshall's prized "Most Outstanding Student Organization" award. In addition, AABA contrasts from other business organizations in that it is not major specific, and has events in various aspects of business (finance, accounting, entrepreneurship, consulting, and marketing). As a premier undergraduate business club open to all USC students interested in opportunities abroad and/or global business at home, AABA makes every effort in instilling and providing cultural awareness and knowledge that is crucial in today's burgeoning global society.

Beta Alpha Psi The Iota Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, a co-ed national honors fraternity for financial information professionals, bases its membership on academic achievement in accounting, finance, and information courses. The chapter fosters closer relationships among professionals, faculty, and students to encourage higher standards of education and encourages student involvement in campus activities as well as academic pursuits. Business Development Club The Business Development Club is a place for networking and collaborating with people who have a passion for business. Our purpose is to help our members explore innovative ideas, create new networks and foster the development of their specific interests by educating them in the different facets of creating a successful enterprise. As a business oriented club, we plan speakers to come and share their experiences with our members on a monthly basis. Networking events will also be held throughout the semester with resume building workshops and career planning meetings. Mentoring services will also be provided to our members with the opportunity to meet other people from other campuses such as UCLA, UCI, CSUSB, UC Berkeley, and UCR. Visits and conferences will be held to companies throughout the region so that our members can collect and have outside resources to contact after their experiences at USC. The mission of the Trojan Consulting Group (TCG) is to provide valuable, pro-bono consulting services to nonprofit organizations in the Los Angeles area. TCG is made up of twelve members in the top of their class in the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. In the past, TCG has partnered with such diverse organizations as the California Community Foundation, LINC Housing, and the Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles.

USC Entrepreneur Club E-club creates a stimulating environment that enables students to exchange ideas via networking and inspirational speakers. Our core competency is that we allow students to network with business professionals and their peers. Concurrently, our events and programs teach students how to both set up and finance profitable enterprises. Given that it takes more than just a great idea in today's competitive environment, our panel events teach cover a broad span of what entrepreneurship is all about. More specifically, that is growing your own business, raising capital, and protecting it. E-club applies concepts learned in the classroom to practical applications. USC Sports Business Association The USC Sports Business Association (SBA) works to educate the undergraduate students of USC on the business of the Sports Industry. To do that, we hold events that bring professionals from the industry on to campus, to speak about their careers, offer advice and network with students in attendance. SBA helps students interested in pursuing a career in the sports industry get in contact with sports organizations, and be notified of openings in internships or entry-level jobs.
