Welcome Students!
The USC Marshall School of Business Student Services Office is happy to assist you throughout your entire career development process. Whether you are a first semester freshman or a graduating senior, our office can help you navigate your career path. Our many career development programs are designed for you to gain access to the business community through experience – from internships and externships to company visits and networking events, there are many ways for you to launch your career from the USC campus.
Getting Started
Students often say the hardest part of their job and internship search is simply getting started. USC and the Marshall School of Business have many services and programs to support you in your career development – the trick is knowing where to look.
Career Planning & Placement Center (CPPC)
The CPPC is a full-service career center located in the Student Union on USC’s University Park campus. Their array of programs includes career counseling, workshops, company profile events, career panels, internships, job listing & searches, the Trojan Network, and Career Fairs.
This office runs an extensive calendar of programs and events. Student should be checking their website weekly to learn of upcoming events and services. For more information, please visit http://careers.usc.edu.

Get connected to on-campus recruiting and job postings specific to USC Students. connectSC is USC’s online job and internship resource for all Trojans. Listings are for full- and part-time jobs, internships, and work-study positions. The system can be accessed any time once you register at http://careers.usc.edu.

Marshall Career Source
In addition to connectSC, the Marshall Career Source is a weekly e-newsletter sent out to all Marshall and Leventhal undergraduate students. The Source lists recent internship and job postings, as well as upcoming career development programs, student organization events, and career tips. Career Development Programs & Events
Marshall Undergraduate Student Services provides workshops and seminars, in conjunction with Marshall student organizations, that will help you learn more about the career development process - including resume review workshops, industry nights, interview etiquette workshops, dining etiquette workshops and more. Upcoming events are listed in the Marshall Career Source. You may also stop by HOH 200 to inquire about upcoming events.
San Francisco Banking and Finance Trip - January 2010

The USC Marshall Student Services Office will be taking a group of 20 highly selective juniors on the San Francisco Banking and Finance Trip from January 21-23, 2010. We will be meeting with companies seeking summer analysts and interns. Previous trip visits have included Summit Partners, Merrill Lynch, UBS, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, and Piper Jaffray. Students will also have the opportunity to network with San Francisco-based alumni during a USC Marshall Alumni Mixer at Zebulon Restaurant in the SOMA district of Downtown San Francisco.
In addition, students will have a free day to explore the city on their own or with a group organized San Francisco Sightseeing Tour and an evening in Chinatown.
Requirements to Apply:

Marshall Recruiter Reception - Spring 2010

This spring, the Office of Marshall Undergraduate Student Services will host the Marshall Spring Recruiter Reception on the evening of Wednesday, February 10, 2010. The event is designed to recognize our top recruiters and to introduce them to our top students.
The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. with an appetizer reception at Town & Gown. At 6:30p.m. we will rotate our students to recruiter tables, in a round robin system. Students and recruiters will have the opportunity to network in an environment more conducive to good conversation. Recruiters will be able to share information to multiple students about the tremendous opportunities that their company has to offer.

BRIDGE Externship Program

This program provides students with the opportunity to gain an insider’s view of a career field or industry by shadowing USC alumni and corporate hosts in their workplace for one day to a week during USC’s Spring Break (March 15-19, 2010). This unpaid learning opportunity is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors who would like to explore a specific field and make alumni connections.

Career Advantage Program (CAP)

CAP is a unique program designed to bring together Marshall undergraduates with real world business professionals. Mentors provide guidance, sound business advice, and share their own personal experiences to help students prepare for the future.

New York Leadership Trip - October 2009

Are you interested in pursuing professional opportunities in New York City? The New York Leadership Trip is an exclusive program for Marshall students with junior standing that are interested in financial services, consulting, marketing, and media/entertainment. Marshall’s top students will be selected to represent USC and to tour an elite array of companies in New York.
Trip Details:
We will be going to New York City from October 14-18th, 2009. This trip will consist of 5-6 company site visits, an alumni dinner and football watch party (USC v. Notre Dame) with the NY Alumni Chapter, and several cultural and sightseeing opportunities. The cost per student will be $700 and it includes roundtrip airfare, hotel, and ground transportation. Financial aid is available - please see the application for more details.

Applications are due by 5:00pm on Thursday, September 10, 2009. All applicants must also sign up for a brief 20-minute interview during the week of September 14-18 and we will notify students by Monday, September 21st.
