What Made You Choose to Attend USC Marshall?

My number one reason for choosing to come to USC was due to the strength and impact of the Trojan Network. My mom went to USC for her undergrad and even now after 30+ years, she still connects with her friends from USC and continues to make new connections through the Trojan network. I was able to see firsthand that the Trojan network not only built business connections, but it also built a family. A family that I am now forever a part of at USC.

Advice you wish you had known while applying to college:

Overall, the one thing that I wish I knew while applying to Universities is that no matter what happens, where we start is not necessarily where we end. All we have to do is work hard and Fight On. It will all work out in the end.

USC activities/general hobbies:

Another opportunity that USC provides is through its clubs and organizations on campus. If you think of an activity, USC probably has a club for that. I have been blessed with the opportunity tobe a part of multiple clubs and organizations on campus, such as The Marshall Business Law Association, the Association of Integrated Marketing, The Asian Pacific American Student Assembly, and Bamboo Offshoot, the on-campus Asian Pacific American magazine.

Why do you love Los Angeles?

I love Los Angeles because you can find a little bit of everything in this city. I grew up in LA, but everyday seems to bring a new adventure for me. On top of that, LA offers a wide variety of food experiences that range from a simple meal at a corner bakery, or a culinary excursion that will send your taste buds out of this country. Friends, food, fun, and family, that’s all I need, and that’s what LA gives me.

Favorite USC Marshall Class:

Communication Strategy in Business is my favorite USC Marshall class. Communication Strategy in Business, also known as BUAD 302 in the Marshall Community, is one of the most critical, interesting, and applicable classes that you will take at Marshall. You work in groups and individually to deliver strong presentations to the class. Also, throughout the class you learn about your style and this helps you learn to efficiently work with one another. Through your groups you are able to form long lasting bonds with your classmates, to the point where it turns into less of a class and more of a family.
