What Made You Choose to Attend USC Marshall?
USC has the best of everything – incredible professors, enormous school spirit, great professional connections, a super fun social life, and perfect weather. Every single person with ties to USC – the students, the professors, the alumni, the faculty– loves USC, and that love is evident in everything from the quality of the classes and the job opportunities to the involvement of the student body and the roaring crowd at the football games. USC Marshall is the best place to be professionally, academically, and socially, and everyone here knows it. It is amazing to be a part of something so great as the Trojan Family.
Advice you wish you had known while applying to college:
Set deadlines for yourself along the way so that you space everything out and don’t end up overwhelmed when the schools’ actual deadlines come.
USC activities/general hobbies:
I’m the director of HR for Marshall Outreach and Volunteer Entrepreneurs, I am very involved in my sorority, I’m in Accounting Society, and I love to be outdoors and travel. Last year, I was in GLP (Global Leadership Program) and travelled to Shanghai, China with a group of my peers, and this summer I participated in the Marshall Winslow-Maxwell Summer Internship Program and had an internship in Dublin, Ireland for 8 weeks.
Why do you love Los Angeles?
You can go to the beach and to the mountains in the same day! The weather is also amazing – it’s impossible not to be in a good mood when you’re constantly surrounded by sunshine. LA offers anything you could ask for in a city – there are tons of great restaurants and museums, killer shopping of course, and lots of great locations for hikes and sight seeing. It’s a wonderful place to live.
Share a definitive freshman moment at USC:
Waking up to the marching band playing outside of my dorm room window on the morning of the first football game day of my freshman year. I just remember thinking how lucky I am to go to a school that I love so much, and that is so bursting with school spirit.
Favorite USC Marshall class:
BUAD 280 (Financial Accounting) with Professor Sweeney. She was an amazing professor and I learned so much!
