What Made You Choose to Attend USC Marshall?
When I was making my college decision, USC Marshall offered everything I looked for in a university. The combination of hands-on business learning, school spirit, and the wide-reaching Trojan Family makes USC Marshall the perfect place to develop into a well-rounded professional.
Advice you wish you had known while applying to college:
I wish I had known that specific rankings have little importance when you are considering any of the top 50 universities. It wasn’t until I was at USC that I understood that all of these top universities offer a similar classroom experience, which means that your decision should primarily be based on where you truly feel the best fit and not where you simply see the highest ranking.
USC activities/general hobbies:
At USC, some of the things I am most involved in are Beta Alpha Psi, the professional accounting fraternity, as well as my on-campus jobs as a videographer for the USC Football Team and as a Teaching Assistant for Accounting Professor Zivia Sweeney. Some of my general hobbies include tennis, basketball, ping pong, and ceramics.
Why do you love Los Angeles?
I love Los Angeles because there is never a dull moment. Whether you are going to a USC Football game, a Lakers game at L.A. Live, or just going to a restaurant downtown with friends, there is always something exciting to do in LA!
Share a definitive freshman moment at USC:
One of my most definitive freshman moments was experiencing the power of the Trojan Family when I got my first internship as a second-semester freshman. When I took my first office tour and saw that almost every desk was decorated with Trojan gear, I began to understand what I had heard so many times about the Trojan Family – it really does exist, and it is truly the best alumni network in the world.
Favorite USC Marshall class:
My favorite USC Marshall class was Introductory Accounting, primarily because Professor Zivia Sweeney helped me discover a passion for a field that I have now based my career interests on.
