What Made You Choose to Attend USC Marshall?

To put it simply: the prestige of Marshall, the opportunities offered to Marshall students, and the Trojan network. When I was applying to colleges, one of my first categories that I narrowed down my list by was ranking. Marshall was among the top ten undergraduate business schools in the nation, and after I heard that it also offered programs like the Global Leadership Program and the International Experiential Corporate Learning Program, I was more sure of my decision. There is not a single day I look back and doubt my decision; Marshall is definitely my right fit.

Advice you wish you had known while applying to college: I had spoken to a few USC students while applying, but I wish they had told me about all the minors that are constantly being created. If I had known that minors like Mobile App Development were available, it would have given me all the more reason to choose USC.

USC activities/general hobbies:

USC Activities: Marshall Student Ambassador, Girls in Tech, National Organization for Business and Engineering, Marshall Women's Leadership Board, USC Concerto Chamber Orchestra, Digital Forensics Organization

Hobbies: Playing the violin, marathoning movie and television series, knitting, going on adventures.

Why do you love Los Angeles?

As a native Los Angeleno, I feel a bit biased in saying that besides the traffic, there is no reason not to love LA. I remember taking a break from studying for midterms and spending a day at the beach, hiking through Temescal Canyon, and being back in the city with my friends before sunset. From the subcultures to the hidden restaurants and nooks, Los Angeles is a very diverse city that I'm glad to call my home.

Share a definitive freshman moment at USC:

A few days before the first official day of school, I remember walking around campus with a few floormates, trying to find where where my classes were so I'd be prepared when classes actually started. I kept running into the same group of people wandering around the buildings my classes were in. It turned out that I'd be seeing a lot more of - and growing with - my future friends; as students in the Global Leadership Program, we would be spending two semesters learning about leadership and Spring Break in China. Seeing my friends now, it makes me laugh at how awkward we were when we kept bumping into each other that day.
