Areas of Interest at USC Marshall:
1. Trojan Football!
2. Fraternity
3. Independent Living
4. Meeting new people: both business connections and great friends.
5. Becoming a more educated, informed person
What Made You Choose to Attend USC Marshall?
I chose to attend USC Marshall for the great connections that Marshall and USC offer. This includes intimate connections with professors, access to guest speakers and notable alumni, and the close personal connections USC facilitates. USC is a rising leader in education that also offers unprecedented school spirit and pride. USC’s location in Los Angeles, with ties to the financial, entertainment, and hospitality industries, also made Marshall a top choice. The number one reason though, is how proud of USC, Trojan alumni are, and how much they look out for each other. I wanted to be a part of the “Trojan Family” and I’m so glad that today I can say that I am a Trojan.
Advice you wish you had known while applying to college:
Do not stress out about applications and decisions. Visit all of the schools, you are interested in, do your research, but overall, go with your gut. You will know which school is the right one for you. Trust yourself, and you will make the right choice.
USC activities/general hobbies:
Greek life (Phi Delta Theta), Marshall Student Ambassadors, Global Microfinance Brigades, LINC Taipei
Why do you love Los Angeles?
Perfect weather, beautiful people, and USC, what’s not to love?
Share a definitive freshman moment at USC:
Early freshman year, I got locked out of my room on a Friday morning. My roommate wouldn’t be back for a few hours, so I just hung out in the common area of the dorm. I was wearing what I slept in, so I had to borrow some clothes, which was pretty embarrassing to ask for. I ended up meeting some people in the dorm who ended up being close friends, so the disaster of a morning ended up being a blessing in disguise.
Favorite USC Marshall class:
My favorite Marshall class has been BUAD 307 (Marketing) with Professor Kalb. Interesting, engaging course, and I learned a lot that I’ve used in my internships and in other classes. This class made me reevaluate the way I view advertisements and public relations issues.
