Why did you choose Marshall?
Being located in Southern California, near downtown Los Angeles, Marshall provides great opportunities to meet and network with a variety of small and large companies locally. Additionally, the Trojan Network has strong connections in every industry imaginable that an MBA student can tap into.
What surprised you the most about Marshall?
Classes and class work is only a portion of what you devote your time to. Clubs, career search, networking, case competitions, and more are also very important and rewarding aspects that you need to split your time with.
Favorite USC Marshall Core Class:
Corporate Finance with Professor Westerfield. The guy literally wrote the book on Finance.
Favorite USC Marshall experience:
Sports Business Career Trek; it was a great to learn about the opportunities MBA’s have to pursue their interests in a variety of sports related industries.
What you wish you knew before attending business school?
School can be more time consuming than any fulltime job you will ever have. But, if you get involved you will get the most out of your time here and make Marshall an amazing and rewarding experience.
