Why did you choose Marshall?
I knew I liked the USC family and network so Marshall was an easy choice for me. The culture is very smart and collaborative. I want to be in LA post-business school so the recruiting from Marshall was just the best out of the other schools I was looking at.
What surprised you the most about Marshall?
The "super semester" format of moving us through classes quickly during one semester has been faster and a little more chaotic than I expected but I think it will serve to be really beneficial during interviews. It will really help us be prepared as the recruiting season gets started.
Favorite USC Marshall Core Class:
So far, I've actually enjoyed public speaking/communications because it gets me out of my comfort zone. Giving presentations over and over again is by no means a fun experience, but I think the class itself will be really helpful post-business school.
Favorite USC Marshall experience:
Tailgates/game day! I love everyone coming together outside of the classroom environment and celebrating with the rest of USC. The tailgates give us all an opportunity to mingle with other alums and current students, which is a lot of fun.
What you wish you knew before attending business school?
To take more time off to relax before school started. Once orientation kicks off, you really hit the ground running so I just wish I would've known and taken more time to relax beforehand.
