What industry do you plan on entering?
Aviation / Operations Consulting
Why did you choose Marshall?
I selected Marshall because I was impressed with the overall sense of community, collaboration, and pride that the students displayed. When I visited the school, I felt that I would have the most well rounded experience, with the right balance of "fun" and academics.
What surprised you the most about Marshall?
How much extra effort everyone will go out of the way to help each other out. With so many limited number of job opportunities out there, one would think that it's "every man for himself" when it comes to academic and career prep. Instead, we have had classmates who have set up their own group exam review sessions on top of those offered by the professors; forwarded job opportunities to friends who were interested; and coached and practiced case interviews with each other. The entire class, as well as alumni, is truly involved and responsive.
Favorite USC Marshall Core Class:
Contemporary Issues in Competitive Strategy.
Favorite USC Marshall experience:
TAM Day, when our Core (A) debuted our theme song, "Call Us Awesome" (to the tune of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe"), and getting to bond with everyone through some friendly competition. It's amazing how close we've all become in such a short period of time.
What you wish you knew before attending business school?
Previous Ambassadors and students warned me about taking more time off prior to starting school and I didn't listen. I really wish I knew how much I would value that one week I took off before school, and that I listened to everyone's advice.
