Students

Perhaps the most important feature of the MOR program curriculum is the assignment of a faculty mentor for each Ph.D. student. The faculty mentor is central to the early research experience, which is an integral part of learning to become a competent scholar. The model we follow in MOR is that of the apprenticeship, where students work closely with faculty to learn how to design, carry out, and write up research. This provides an essential foundation for students to undertake their own research projects, especially during the dissertation stage of the program.
