USC Leventhal School of Accounting will offer a new online version of its top-ranked Master in Business Taxation degree this fall. The Master of Business Taxation for Working Professionals (MBT.WP) online degree program is a 30-unit degree program designed for tax and accounting professionals with a minimum of one year’s experience in the field of taxation. The program launches this August. Students may complete the program in as few as 21 months and the first graduates are expected in May 2015. Students may proceed at their own pace, adjusting class schedules to balance with work schedules and busy lives. Degree requirements are identical to Leventhal’s campus-based MBT.WP program and will be taught by the same outstanding faculty who teach the campus degree programs.

Speaking about this new program, William W. Holder, Dean of the Leventhal School of Accounting and Alan Casden Dean's Chair & Professor of Accounting, said, “We are proud to offer this online version of our world-class program and to support accounting professionals as they broaden their skills in our complex and quickly evolving profession.”  Students will begin with one or two courses in the first semester, continuing a gradual rollout of five core courses and a choice of electives.

Leventhal’s masters programs rank fourth among the nation’s graduate accounting and tax programs.” The MBT is one of three online degrees launched by the USC Marshall School of Business this calendar year, including a Master of Global Supply Chain Management and Master of Management and Library Information Science.
