USC Marshall Honors Bristol Farms CEO as Executive of the Year
Kevin Davis to Receive Top Award from Food Industry Management Program
March 16, 2011 • by News at Marshall

The Food Industry Management Program at the USC Marshall School of Business will honor Kevin Davis, chairman of the board, president and CEO of Bristol Farms, as the "Food Industry Executive of the Year" during its annual graduation and banquet in April.

Davis graduated from Marshall’s Food Industry Management Program (FIM) in 1978 and was named FIM’s Alumnus of the Year in 1999.

"Kevin Davis personifies what we try to achieve at FIM," said Robert Hermanns, the program’s director. "He's proven to be a dynamic leader in a highly competitive arena and has cultivated the next generation of leadership by mentoring countless executives over the years. We are delighted to award him our highest honor."

The award is presented annually to a food industry executive who has shown extraordinary leadership while producing exceptional business results.

After a 21-year career at Ralphs, Davis left the company to become executive vice president of Bristol Farms in 1996; he was named president and CEO in 1997. In 2010 Davis and his management team took ownership of Bristol Farms through a partnership—the move offered the Southern California headquartered Bristol Farms the opportunity to return to the company’s roots as an independently owned entity.

Davis will be presented the award on April 27, 2011. For banquet information, please contact the Food Industry Management Program office at 213-740-5585.
