Robert Hermanns to Speak at 'Legends' Event
Executive Director of Marshall's Food Industry Program Honored at Luncheon

On April 20, 2011, Robert Hermanns, executive director of Food Industry Management Programs at USC’s Marshall School of Business, will be the keynote speaker at the annual "Legends of the Industry" luncheon, hosted by the Food Industries Sales Managers’ Club of Los Angeles at the Montebello Country Club. Past honorees include the likes of Bill Davila, past CEO of Vons grocery stores.

Hermanns earned his MBA and FIM certificate from USC in 1967. He then went on to work for several decades in the food industry, eventually rising to the highest ranks of several large firms, serving as CEO of Seattle-based Associated Grocers and COO of Weis Markets in Sunbury, Pa. In 2009, he became USC's Food Industry Management Program’s fourth director in its 53-year history.

The Food Industry Management Program at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business is a selective training program for high-potential employees working in the food retailing, wholesaling or manufacturing businesses.
