March 25, 2011 • by News at Marshall

The 7th Annual USC Marshall “Challenge for Charity Alumni Gala,” which benefits the Special Olympics, Junior Achievement and A Better LA, will be held on Saturday, April 2, at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel.

"The Annual Challenge for Charity Gala is an important Marshall tradition, bringing together students, alumni and the Marshall community as a whole to support charities that make a difference," said James G. Ellis, dean of USC Marshall.

As in previous years, a sizeable group of alumni are expected from each graduating class since the Gala’s 2004 inception. Members of the Marshall faculty and administration will also be in attendance. The event begins with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. and dinner and dancing follows. Silent and live auctions will be ongoing throughout the evening.

Advance tickets are available online for $95 and include dinner, drinks and the opportunity to bid on a host of prizes. Items for auction include luxurious vacations such as a Santa Ynez vineyard getaway and a weeklong stay at a Santa Cruz beach cottage. One lucky bidder will walk away with dinner and cocktails for 12 with Dean Ellis at the historic California Club in downtown Los Angeles.
