USC Marshall Extends Impact in Latin America Expanding Partnership
IPADE Partnership Prepares Students for the Global Economy
December 8, 2008 • by News at Marshall

The USC Marshall School of Business has deepened its partnership with IPADE Business School by sharing one of its faculty members with the Mexican leader in business education. IPADE, currently ranked #1 in Latin America by the Financial Times, has long been recognized as the pre-eminent business school in Mexico. This latest collaboration between two of the top business schools in the Pacific Rim leverages USC's Mexico City office and makes it a part of a strong network of international offices and points of contacts throughout Latin America and Asia.

The partnership utilizes Marshall's capability in preparing students for the global economy and its Center for Management Communication (CMC)'s expertise in the teaching and study of management communication.

Dr. Gregory H. Patton, Associate Professor and CMC faculty member, was selected to serve as a visiting faculty member at IPADE in its full-time MBA Program during the fall of 2008. Greg taught communication, interpersonal and leadership skills while at IPADE. He is the first Marshall faculty member to teach at IPADE.

The full-time MBA Program at IPADE Business School at the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City is ranked #1 in Latin America and among the top five programs in international ranking (Wall Street Journal, Forbes, FT).

IPADE is Marshall's primary partner in Mexico; the two schools currently have a student exchange and have partnered together for several years.
