Business Librarian (2004-Present)

Responsibilites

* Selector for Business, Accounting, Economics & Sports
* USC Libraries Liaison to USC Marshall’s Faculty and PhDs in support of research and teaching
* Provide reference and research support via e-mail, chat, telephone and in-person at the Crocker Library and Doheny Memorial Library desks
* Demonstrate library information resources and databases to orientations, WRIT 140 & WRIT 340 courses and research workshops to MBAs and PhDs

Biography

Ed Tinoco holds a Master of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Arts, in English, from California State University, Northridge. A former member of the US Army Rangers, Ed brings over fifteen years of experience in the academic, corporate and entertainment industry sectors to his position in the Roy P. Crocker Business Library, serving the USC Marshall School of Business, USC Libraries and the USC Community.

Prior to coming to USC in 2004, Ed worked at Lehman Brothers, Inc., as the Los Angeles office Research Librarian supporting the financial institutions, merger and acquisitions, industrials and private placement teams focusing mainly on researching companies, industries, markets and executives. Before his four-years at Lehman Brothers, Ed spent over five years working at the Motion Picture Association of America in the Classification and Ratings Department, ending his tenure in 2000 as the Internet Investigations Database Coordinator in the Worldwide Anti-Piracy office of the MPAA/MPA.
