*Armony Yomi joins IBEAR with four years of experience in the information technology industry, the hospitality industry and the energy industry. Most recently, she worked as a software engineer at Amadeus Hospitality GmbH and participated in the development of successful products for the hotel management industry. Previously she worked with various international clients as an IT consultant. She worked for CKW, the biggest utilities company in Switzerland and managed the database system for its online portal. Ms. Yomi earned a degree of diploma in computer sciences from the University of Sciences of Rosenheim, Germany. Following IBEAR, she intends to work as a business or management consultant with an international firm.Chile

*Matias Sepulveda joins the IBEAR MBA program from Capital Advisors, an asset management firm in Chile that manages $4.5B worth of assets for Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA). As a regional director for Dimensional Fund Advisors, Matias was responsible for brokerage DFA’s mutual funds for family offices in Chile and institutional clients in Chile, Peru, and Colombia through financial advisory, developing financial models and conducting investment presentations. His achievements include recovering $3B after the subprime financial crisis and raising the professional standards of Capital Advisors’ mutual fund distribution business. Before joining Capital Advisors, Matias worked for three years as a product control analyst at ABN AMRO Bank in Chile. He earned his B.S. in Systems and Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Catolica de Chile. After completing the IBEAR program, Matias will pursue a career as a manager in finance or strategic business development.China

*Wei Gu is an entrepreneur focusing on IT consulting, Internet and resource recycling industries. He co-founded Shanghai Baijii IT Co., Ltd, a start-up providing both IT consulting services and web-based applications. As a co-founder and project manager, he developed several clients including Ziya Circular Economy Industrial Park, a leading circular economy industrial park in China. Mr. Gu is also involved in his family business, a resource recycling company producing recycled metals and plastics. Mr. Gu previously worked at IBM Global Business Service as a senior consultant. He provided CRM strategic planning and system integration consulting to IBM’s major clients in the media industry. Mr. Gu obtained a bachelor’s degree in software engineering from Tongji University in Shanghai, China. Upon Graduation, Mr. Gu seeks business opportunities in high-tech and recycling industries.
*Jie (Jessica) Lian joins the IBEAR program from Yinfan, a fast growing startup in Beijing specializing in the fitness industry. As operation director, she led the development of cross-functional workflows and reduced the staff turnover rate. Prior to Yinfan, she worked in Turkey where she assisted a local marble company in exploring the Chinese market. Ms. Lian started her career in BMT in commercial real estate and has six years experience in this field. She worked for one of the biggest shopping malls in China and participated every step of the project life cycle including planning, positioning, developing, marketing and operating. She earned her bachelor's degree in business administration at NanKai University in China. Following IBEAR, Ms. Lian intends to join an international firm, focusing on strategy or operations consulting.
Yu (Kevin) Song joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 13 years of professional experience in the Finance department of TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings. As a financial controller of a manufacturing financial center, he supervised overall financial management of operations including budgeting, treasury, costing, reporting and internal tax management. He led his team to achieve more than $4M in savings in the past three years through implementing cost saving projects and tax avoidance. In addition, he set up internal control systems of financial reporting in the manufacturing center. He also planned and executed several investment activities and new company setups in China. Mr. Song holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. After IBEAR program, he will return to TCL and pursue a strategic management position helping the company to become one of the most respected consumer electronic companies in the global market.
*Hongfei Sun has over 10 years of IT experience at Lam Research, which is one of world’s leading semiconductor equipment suppliers based in San Francisco Bay Area. Mr. Sun established the IT department for Lam Research China and developed an effective communication channel between China and the Global Information System headquarters in US. He led a team of four parties (including local vendor/China IT/APAC IT) in the IT network migration of four offices of Lam acquired companies to Lam China twice, within six months. Mr. Sun earned his bachelor’s degree in international economic law with a minor in Computer Science at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Mr. Sun has strong analytical and problem solving abilities as well as technical and project management skills. With his management and leadership skills enhanced by IBEAR MBA, he plans to pursue a managerial position in strategic planning or business development in a global IT/internet company.
*Jian Bo (Karla) Xu joins the IBEAR program from Deloitte Consulting and PwC Consulting with 10 years of professional industry experience specializing in performance improvement, M&A process, finance and operation functions effectiveness, and post-deal integration. She has worked on multiple projects at various stages of maturity and for different outcomes and objectives. As a manager in management consulting, Ms. Xu led consulting projects that required her to be responsible for deliverables, presentation reports, project management, client interviews, business plan sensitivity, building operational and market models and vulnerability analysis as well as managing a junior project team. Prior to consulting, Karla worked in SOX Compliance Audit in Asia focusing on business control assessment and SOX database maintenance. Ms. Xu obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. Following IBEAR program, Ms. Xu intends to join a multinational company in a strategic management position.
Rongsheng (Sam) Zhang graduated from South China University of Technology in 1998. Then he joined TCL Multimedia, the biggest television enterprise in China, as an engineer. He became a manager, concentrating on production management. Since 2009, Mr. Rongsheng has been responsible for the business of LCD TV General Plant, where he is actively involved in manufacture management. He has established himself as one of the most influential and professional experts in manufacture management. He successfully led projects to improve performance, one of which won a national Excellent Project award in China. He also gained the certificate of Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Mr. Rongsheng started his business study in the IBEAR program at USC in 2012 to broaden his international vision and compliment his background in technology. After IBEAR, he will go back to TCL to contribute to help his company’s development and success.
*Ying Zhao joins the IBEAR program from Xinyuan Real Estate Company, which is one of China's Top 10 Overseas-Listed Real Estate Developers. As a marketing director, Ms. Zhao was in charge of the marketing business in one of the constituent companies and reported directly to the General Manager. She was responsible for all marketing issues, including product positioning, marketing analysis, price strategy, advertising strategy, and public relations. Though she was one of the youngest directors in the company, she led her team to win an award for the top sales team. Ms. Zhao received a master’s degree in communication from Wuhan University and a bachelor’s degree in arts from Henan University. Following IBEAR, She plans to seek a general management position in the Real Estate industry or in international marketing.
*Yi Xin (Tim) Zhou joins IBEAR with 13 years of experience in general management, sales and operation in the human resources consulting and service industry. Most recently, he worked for Randstad, the world’s second largest HR solution company. As a National Manager in charge of the RPO/Recruitment Process Outsourcing business in the China region, Mr. Zhou provided recruitment solution design and implementation to Randstad’s major global clients. During the last four years with Randstad, Tim successfully established three teams from scratch, tripling their yield and team’s size. Prior to Randstad, he worked at Manpower as an Area Manager where he was responsible for RPO and recruitment service for Fortune 100 clients and achieved top team performance. Tim earned a bachelor degree from East China University of Science and Technology. Following IBEAR, Mr. Zhou intends to work with an international firm.Colombia

*John C. Padilla brings to the IBEAR Program extensive experience in customer service, sales, marketing and business development. He previously worked at Sika Colombia S.A., a Swiss-based company of specialty chemicals for the construction and manufacturing industries. As Key Account Manager of Transportation for the Business Unit Industry at Sika, Mr. Padilla worked closely with customers to provide technical support and innovative solutions to customer needs, developed and coordinated a strategy to win market share, and successfully drove a 50 percent growth in sales for his market field. Mr. Padilla earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering at Universidad Tecnologica de Pereira. Upon graduation from IBEAR, Mr. Padilla is interested in pursuing a strategic management position in sales and business development.India

*Chinmaya S.Dharmadhikari brings a blend of customer centric innovation & project management experience from Automotive Industry to the IBEAR Program. At Tata Motors Limited, he served as the team leader for the $140M new commercial vehicle development project which he led from concept formulation to launch over a span of five years and collaborated with multiple functions spread over various geographies to deliver a successful product. As part of the company talent pool, he was acknowledged as a dynamic professional with potential and ability to drive the company forward. Previously, as the service manager at the same company, he led the after sales activities in his area where he engaged dealers & customers to improve the service experience. Mr. Dharmadhikari earned a PGDM in operations from Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode and a B-Tech in mechanical engineering from IIT-BHU. After IBEAR, Mr. Dharmadhikari intends to work on global operations projects.
*Janesh Mishra brings with him an eclectic blend of six years of professional experience in the information technology, consulting, and healthcare industries. He began his career as a software developer at Newgen Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and after a short stint moved to Radian Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a prestigious dealer for GE Healthcare in North India, as a business development manager where he led the sales and service divisions of the organization. Furthermore, he initiated the expansion of the company in completely new industry verticals of information technology, and research & development. Prior to joining the IBEAR program, Mr. Mishra was working as a business development manager for CSM Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and was responsible for leading sales and marketing efforts, providing consulting, and coordinating all company operations from the North Indian regional office. Mr. Mishra holds a B.E. in computer science and engineering from Panjab University.
*Senthil Rajagopal has more than eight and a half years of experience in IT solution development and project management. Before joining the IBEAR program, Mr. Rajagopal worked with Invensys, a leading engineering and information technology company. Prior to Invensys, he was with TATA Consultancy Services, a leading IT consulting and services company, for six and a half years. Mr. Rajagopal’s experience includes presales solutions, a wide variety of business intelligence and data warehousing end-end implementations, and extensive project management experience within the outsourcing industry. He has coordinated teams from various geographical regions and has more than four years of international experience engaging life sciences and healthcare customers. Mr. Rajagopal holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science & engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, India and is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). After the IBEAR MBA Program, he intends to pursue a career in strategy and business development in the IT consulting and services industry.
*Jyoti Sadekar joins the IBEAR Program with more than 10 years of experience in IT solutioning and client management at Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS), India’s leading Software Company. She has worked with TCS as a Subject Matter Expert in ERP leading implementations for integration software for multiple customers in different regions globally, playing a key role in development and execution of projects. Her most recent experience included managing a major client of TCS in Boston, USA. Her main KPI was solutioning and customer satisfaction. Prior to that, Ms. Sadekar has worked as a software consultant developing and tailoring IT solutions to customers in the finance and manufacturing domains. Ms. Sadekar holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics and telecommunications from K.J.Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai University and participated in the software technology post-graduation course from NCST, Mumbai. Following IBEAR, Ms. Sadekar intends to pursue a career in the business management consultancy domain.Indonesia

Suryanty Pasaribu joins the IBEAR MBA program with sponsorship from the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, which regulates trade policy for both domestic and foreign trade. Ms. Pasaribu earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from University of Indonesia, the leading university in Indonesia. She previously worked as an auditor for one of the big four public accounting firms and was involved in auditing manufacturing firms. With her past experiences, she now dedicates her knowledge to the Inspectorate General Division in the Ministry of Trade. Ms. Pasaribu is involved in reviewing both the financial and operational performance of the ministry and gives recommendations on those issues. She is interested in international global trading systems and expects to be closely involved in international trade negotiations after IBEAR.Iran

*Mohammad Mehryar comes to the IBEAR program with 11 years of extensive experience in IT development and management. Recently he worked as the Enterprise Application Manager for MTN, the leading telecommunication company in the Middle East and Africa. In this position Mr. Mehryar successfully led international teams developing Business Intelligence (BI) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions for MTN-Iran. Furthermore, he managed several projects that enhanced the application of BI in the company’s operational and strategic decision making process. Mr. Mehryar earned a Master’s degree in IT engineering (e-commerce) from K.N.T. University of Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering (software) from the University of Tehran. He is the first Iranian to attend the IBEAR program and after graduation he intends to join a global management consulting firm in business intelligence and analytics.Japan

*Yoshinobu Imada joins the IBEAR program from Warner Bros. Japan. He is a Certified Public Accountant accredited from the State of Delaware and has eight years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, auditing, budgeting and forecasting in the area of home entertainment business, film distribution, local film production, and corporate finance. Mr. Imada formulated film investment analysis for submission to film producers and potential investors and gained firsthand experience in local film distribution and home entertainment business. In his last position, he also played a key role in the financial audits, national tax investigations, and corporate financial reporting. Throughout his career, he obtained a comprehensive understanding of the local film business model from a finance point of view. Mr. Imada earned a bachelor’s degree with distinction in business administration from University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Yusuke Imazato, joined the IBEAR program with eight years of work experience. His sponsor, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. (TMNF), has been a leading Japanese company in non-life insurances since its establishment in 1879. Recently, he was a member of the sales department specializing in ship insurance. He took charge of about 60 companies and clients, such as ship owners or ship builders. Also, he led his branch as a point person for the main product, and he and his team member successfully doubled the number of contracts during this period. Mr. Imazato holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Tokyo. Following IBEAR, he intends to device growth strategy for Tokio Marine’s overseas business expansion at headquarters. Then he intends to expand TMNF and will work to develop the organization into a truly global company.
*Masayasu Matsumura brings thirteen years of HR management experience to the IBEAR program. He contributed to the 2010 establishment of Human Business Associates Co., LTD, a joint venture of Sony, IBM Japan and Manpower Japan. As Senior HR Analyst, he revamped the temp staff management operations at Sony/Sony Ericsson by implementing a global transformation, including the transition of various operations to China. He also ensured that 2,000+ temporary workers at Sony were employed in compliance with strict regulations and championed the establishment of an enhanced recruiting policy that enabled Sony Ericsson to hire talented engineers worldwide. For the first five years after graduating from Kwansei Gakuin University in Japan with B.A. in aesthetics and art studies, Mr. Matsumura lived in Los Angeles, where he studied acting and concurrently launched an import/export business in sports apparel/memorabilia and vintage clothing. After earning his MBA, Mr. Matsumura is eager to work globally as a proud Trojan.
Mitsuhiro Nomura has a wide variety of experience in Real Estate. After he graduated from Keio University, he joined a real estate company, Alteka Co. As a salesman, he sold condominiums, commercial buildings, and residential homes. One of his achievements involves a project in Hawaii. Collaborating with local construction companies, he served as the project manager for the planning of a luxury residence and sold the property for thirty million dollars. Another example is the Omotesando project. Mr. Nomura approached over a hundred business leaders to find tenants that would bring in six hundred thousand dollars of fixed revenue per month for the company. After he was promoted to the manager of the strategy office, he planned green technology buildings. Following IBEAR, he aims to be the leader of his family business and expand the business to other countries.
Susumu Tomotani is sponsored by Sumitomo Electric Industries, LTD.(SEI), a leading manufacturing company in Japan. Mr. Tomotani has worked as a sales person in the electronics department since he joined the company in 1999. For the first half of his 13-year career at SEI, heworked for Japan’s leading manufactures at the Osaka headquarters. For the latter half, he managed a sales division of America’s prominent manufactures while he worked in Singapore and Hong Kong and led new modular products development for a customer. In addition, most recently he coordinated mid- and long-term plan for the sales department at the Tokyo headquarters. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan. Following IBEAR, he will return to SEI and seek a managerial position in SEI’s overseas subsidiary.
Masahide Yamato is sponsored by Asahi-Kasei Corporation, one of the largest chemicals, electronics, medical and housing companies in Japan. Mr. Yamato has 14 years of experience working as an accountant for the Naphtha Cracker and Emulsion divisions of a chemicals subsidiary company. For the latter half, he was in the Functional Additive division, which produces pharmaceutical raw materials. He prepared the operating budget and reported the analysis of operation results. Three years ago, he conducted due diligence of an Indian chemicals company and calculated the company value using DCF methods. Most recently he drew up a financing, international tax planning and transfer price report for the Indian Joint Venture. Mr. Yamato earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Western History at the University of Tokyo. After the IBEAR program, he will return to Asahi-Kasei Corporation and contribute to the international expansion and development of the company.
Yoshitomo Yasuoka is sponsored by Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., one of the biggest insurance companies in Japan. He has eight years of experience in alternative investment division at Tokio Marine and has been responsible for making several kinds of investment decisions regarding leveraged finance, real estate, natural resources, and other assets. These assets are located in the United States, various European countries, New Zealand and Japan. He also initiated many restructuring plans for soured and complicated investments made before the financial crisis in 2008. He has a B.S. in architecture and an M.S. in engineering from Waseda University in Japan. He is also the Chartered Financial Analyst. Woo Seok (Scott) Chung joins the IBEAR program from Dongkuk Steel Mill Co., LTD., a global leader in the steel industry, with more than 11 years of experience in management and strategic planning. As a member of the Strategic Management Group (SMG) at Dongkuk Steel, he has contributed to establishing a long term strategy and developing various new business opportunities for the company’s sustainable growth. Prior to his career at Dongkuk Steel, he worked at SK C&C, one of the major IT service providers in Korea, and developed his expertise in the field of strategic planning. He is a graduate of Yonsei University in Korea and obtained his B.S in metallurgical engineering. After IBEAR, he hopes to make further contributions to Dongkuk Steel and to become a respected leader in the steel industry.
*Soon Yong (Eric) Hwang comes to IBEAR after eight and a half years of experience in the finance industry to enhance his career track and strengthen his international network. In the past seven years at Citigroup in Korea, he was a primary contact for multinational institutional investors as a client service analyst for overseas portfolios advising clients on various issues regarding corporate action, tax and settlement in global equity markets. He also performed account management and trained clients for web platforms in security trading. Prior to Citi, he worked as a portfolio analyst at a local insurance firm’s asset management division. Mr. Hwang earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, Korea. He also studied at California State University, East Bay for visiting program. Following IBEAR, he intends to work in the financial services industry in global financial hub cities focusing on client services and product management.
Jin Ho Kim is sponsored by LG Electronics Inc., one of the leading global companies in the manufacturing of consumer electronics. He has seven years of experience in the research and development of advanced technologies in solar cells. He was selected as the representative of R&D group for a project, involving the construction of a new production line. In the project, Mr. Kim led the transfer of newly developed technologies from the laboratory to the plant. Most recently, he was charged with improving the productivity and reliability of the product and in giving technical support to the marketing department. Mr. Kim earned a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Seoul National University. Sangjae (Simon) Kim joins the IBEAR program from the Dongkuk Steel Co., a leading company in the steel industry in Korea, with sixteen years of experience ranging from the installation of steel mills to maintenance duties. As an engineer in his company, he successfully performed a key role in setting up the newest plate mill for the Dangjin Project, which was the largest investment in his company’s recent history. He has demonstrated leadership and an ability to coordinate with different people from all over the world. Recently, he has developed a strategy to maximize the machine capacity, decrease the machine error, and increase efficiency in achieving goals. After IBEAR, Mr. Kim will be more qualified as a leading director in his company and will return to Dongkuk Steel Co. to reinforce his company’s competitive position in the steel industry.
Young Jun Kim is sponsored by Hana Financial Group, the leading financial company in Korea. He has worked for Hana Financial Group for 15 years in various fields from risk management to the secretariat. As a manager of the risk management team, he was in charge of overseeing the loan portfolio. By efficiently controlling the credit line of real estate loans given during the housing boom, he contributed to the company achieving the lowest non-performing loan ratio in Korea. Most recently, he has worked as a senior manager of the secretariat, which supports the chairman of Hana Financial Group. Jin Young (Jason) Lee is sponsored by Hana Bank, the leading commercial bank in South Korea with assets totaling KRW153tn at the end of 2011. Mr. Lee worked as a strategic planner for the Financial Markets and Treasury Group division, which is responsible for investment of AUM KRW21tn and debt financing of KRW27tn. He also worked as a Senior Investor Relations (IR) Officer representing Hana Financial Group Inc. (KS 086790), one of the largest financial holding companies in Korea. Seung Chul (Jerry) Lee is sponsored by Korean Air, a member of SKY Team and a global leader in the airline industry. He has eight years of professional experience in accounting at Korean Air. He was a key member of the team that built the company’s ERP system, which was the biggest project in Korean Air history. Most recently, he was in charge of overseas tax accounting. He controlled tax risk, developed saving strategy, and operated tax policy for the overseas branches. Mr. Lee earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Sogang University, a prestigious Jesuit University in Korea. *Wooil (Billy) Lee joins the IBEAR program from UNID Co., LTD Global No.1 potassium hydroxide product manufacturer in Korea. As corporate planning department senior manager at UNID, he assisted founding a new subsidiary company and implemented “Executive Knowledge Sharing and Propagation Program” within the company to initiate transforming the traditionally closed and hierarchical corporation culture into open and horizontal one to prepare for the company’s implementing rapid growth. Before working at UNID, he worked in various business fields from financial, strategic and operational expertise to pure creative writing in global business experiences across Korea, US and China. He is a graduate of Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts and obtained his B.S in International business.
*Jihoon (Paul) Lim joins the IBEAR program with eight years of experience in operations consulting and internal audits. At PwC Consulting, he conducted risk consulting projects, investigation and forensic services, and internal and IT audits for industries as varied as pharmaceuticals, banking/brokerage, manufacturing, retail and E-commerce providers. As an internal auditor at Merck, a global pharmaceutical, chemical and biotech provider, Mr. Lim led upgrades to the company’s internal controls and ethical standards, implementing stronger marketing code of conduct. Most recently, as the audit manager at Myongji St. Mary’s Hospital, Korea’s leading stroke-treatment provider, he implemented internal audits and codes of conduct, while supervising critical strategic projects such as the hospital's payroll restructuring and quality certificate projects. Mr. Lim graduated cum laude from University of Massachusetts at Amherst, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration. Following IBEAR, Mr. Lim intends to pursue a career in operations/management consulting, specializing in the healthcare industry.
Jae Hyoung (Daniel) Shim is sponsored by Prudential of Korea (POK), a subsidiary of the Prudential Financial and a leading life insurance company in Korea. As a general manager of corporate finance, he is leading the Financial Accounting and Management team, which is responsible for financial reporting, investment administration, treasury, and tax. Most recently, he held the position of Deputy General Manager of the Corporate Strategy and Planning Division and made significant contributions to Korean Air’s yearly business planning, which establishes corporate business strategy, financial goals and key performance factors, and each business division’s revenue and profit plans. Also, he showed exceptional performance on operating results analyses that were required to measure and evaluate business situations. His university background taught him structural and analytic thinking. Mr. Yim earned his bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering in Yonsei University, and his constructive way of thinking had a synergistic effect on strategy planning jobs. *Cheng On (Iris) Ao joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 6 years of experience from Minya International Corp., a leading promotional products company in Orange County. She served as General Manager with responsibility for sales & logistics, development of market strategy and leadership of annual nationwide trade shows. Ms. Ao was accountable for both the new business acquisition and product development programs. She also implemented improved logistics and IT processes. As a results oriented executive leader, her efforts to control costs have significantly reduced annual capital expenditures. Previously Ms. Ao worked at AuOne Electrical Co., a thermostat manufacturer in China, as marketing director with responsibility for major consumer electronics accounts like Black and Decker, Honeywell and Siemens. She organized international trade shows that resulted in a 10 percent increase in sales. Ms. Ao earned her B.A. in economics from University of California, Los Angeles. *Edwin Bumal-o has over nine years of combined experience in financial audit and internal control review. Most recently, he worked at Interpublic Group of Companies Inc. (IPG), a global provider of advertising and marketing services, as Area Manager responsible for ensuring integrity of financial reporting, strengthening internal control environment and providing value added services to IPG subsidiaries in South and Southeast Asia. In addition, he was involved in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles financial consolidation, various Sarbanes-Oxley compliance projects, and M&A financial due diligence. Prior to IPG, he worked as Senior Auditor at Deloitte Philippines. Mr. Bumal-o is a Philippine CPA and has passed all subjects of the U.S. Uniform CPA Examination. He graduated cum laude from the University of the Cordilleras in the Philippines. After IBEAR, Mr. Bumal-o intends to pursue a career in risk management or financial advisory consulting.Taiwan

*Meng-Chuan (Gwen) Chung has over five years of entrepreneurial and corporate experience at Grand Bazar Trading Corp (GBTC) and KPMG. Before joining the IBEAR program, she worked as a customer relations manager and budget manager at GBTC, a luxury retail clothing company, where she successfully boosted semiannual sales by 30% and reduced excess inventory by 70%. Prior to her work at GBTC, Ms. Chung was a senior supervisor at KPMG, where she led cross-departmental teams to conduct auditing and tax projects for multinational conglomerates. She also consulted clients on internal control and tax issues. Ms. Chung holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a specialization in Accounting from Yuan Ze University in Taiwan. *Lu-Cheng (Aloha) Hsu joins the IBEAR MBA program with 5 years of experience in software development and software planning in the mobile communication industry. Mr. Hsu worked as a software application planner at HTC Corporation and was in charge of defining software specifications. Before HTC, he worked as a software engineer and sales engineer for iaSolution Inc., a leading embedded software company. Mr. Hsu developed software for mobile phones and provided technical support for phone manufacturers. He also planned internal system development and researched IT industry trends. Mr. Hsu earned his B.A. in Management Information Systems from National Chengchi University and an M.S. in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Central University, Taiwan. He is passionate about technology and related business models. Following IBEAR, Mr. Hsu intends to pursue a position in product marketing, strategy planning, or business development in the high-tech industry.
*Han-Wei (William) Huang is a legal practitioner with ten years of work experience. He joins IBEAR from Huang Law Office where he handled international investments, intellectual property disputes and commercial litigation for two years. He worked for L&L for four years practicing tax and corporate laws. He also handled alternative dispute resolution and general corporate matters for four years in a boutique law firm. He received his first law degree from Soochow University in Taiwan and an LL.M. in Taxation from Northwestern University School of Law. Before Joining IBEAR, he earned his second LL.M. at USC School of Law with both entertainment law and business law certificates. Following IBEAR, he intends to join an international firm focusing on the venture capital and private equity industry.
*Peng-Hung Wu joins IBEAR with eleven years of experience in military, financial, and commercial bank professional services. Before joining IBEAR, he worked for six years at Jih Sun Financial Holdings - Jih Sun International Bank. The business finance and wealth management entities at Jih Sun International Bank have been ranked in the top three in Taiwan. As a deputy manager, Mr. Wu was responsible for international trading, foreign exchange and mutual fund trust. Moreover, he completed the test of a new international correspondent system and the investment case of capital increase from Japan Shinsei Bank’s private placement. Mr. Wu is also a Certified Securities Investment Analyst (CSIA) in Taiwan. He earned his B.A. in accounting from Chung Yuan Christian University and Master of Science in finance from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Following IBEAR, Mr. Wu intends to work in the electronics Industry.
*Chang Chien (Jack) Yu worked in IBM Taiwan as an advisory territory sales representative for 4 years before joining the IBEAR MBA program. He was appointed head of IBM emerging market team for the Electronics and Chemical industries in 2010. He successfully made deals with several first-time customers and turned around historically underperforming unit, boosting revenues growth to 250%, and ranked as top sales in general business department. During his IBM career, he spearheaded IBM's push into the volume selling market, establishing the lead in replacing hardware for UNIX platform servers and storage in ERP infrastructure, and secured SAP ERP project for a world famous high tech company, enabling IBM to establish a beachhead in the PCB (printed circuit board) industry in Taiwan. Mr. Yu holds his bachelor’s degree in bio-environmental system engineering from National Taiwan University. Post MBA, he wants to focus on marketing and sales in Asia market.
*Shu-Fen (Christina) Yu joins the IBEAR program from Darfure International Inc., a manufacturer and supplier of garments. As a product manager with six years of experience, Ms. Yu was involved in manufacturing plans for new products and created innovative ideas for product positioning. In addition to managing product life cycle, she also developed relationships with potential business partners and conducted research regarding market trends for current and future business. She also cooperated with outside lawyers to provide commercial strategies from a legal perspective. Ms. Yu earned a bachelor of Laws from Soochow University of Law in Taiwan and a master of Laws from the Gould School of Law, University of Southern California. Following IBEAR, Ms. Yu intends to establish a start-up company as an entrepreneur.United States of America

*Steve Barth brings to IBEAR deep expertise and eclectic experience in knowledge management, organizational learning and communication. As principal of Reflected Knowledge since 2002, he has helped government, NGO, academic and corporate clients worldwide. Through consulting projects and advisory positions, he has worked with the United Nations, Thai Government, US Army, Accion International, USC and IBM Global Services. Previously, as an award-winning journalist, Steve wrote extensively about innovations in international business. He held senior editorial positions at publications including World Trade and Knowledge Management and contributed to traditional and new media ranging from Time to Mint.com. Mr. Barth holds a BA from UC Santa Barbara and was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard’s Learning Innovations Lab. Mr. Barth chose an IBEAR MBA to broaden his capabilities. In the future, he is looking for new ways to improve the effectiveness of organizations in public, private and social sectors as they solve pressing problems in a complex world.
*Jason Chen joins IBEAR program with seven years of experience as an investment performance specialist in the financial service industry. He started as an analyst and eventually served as a relationship consultant at State Street Bank, a leading global custodian bank and investment advisor, which provides investment management services to institutional investors. He and his team serviced a wide range of clientele including public state pensions, Dow 30 private pensions, and private foundations, assisting their clients to manage their portfolios by providing analytical services on portfolio performance analysis, benchmark and peer performance comparison, ex-ante risk analysis, and attribution analysis based on portfolio characteristics. Mr. Chen earned a bachelor’s degree in business from University of California, Riverside and is a charter holder of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). Following IBEAR, Mr. Chen intends to work in an international investment firm.
*Bernard (Bernie) Co joins the IBEAR MBA program with extensive experience in real estate development, international sales, marketing, and project management. Prior to Marshall, Mr. Co spearheaded commercial, residential, and agricultural property acquisition and development as Property Management Director for EverCo Properties, LLC, a real estate development co-op entity with international exposure in China, the Philippines, and the United States. Mr. Co also served for three years as the Regional Manager in charge of over 40 employees in multiple divisions of California Rags and Waste, Inc., an international textile recycling and distribution corporation with recycling plants in Northern California, China, the Philippines, and Chile. Over that three-year period, driven by Mr. Co’s ardent business acumen, CRW’s sales revenues experienced consistent growth, accumulating in excess of 20 percent growth overall. *Ryan Gallagher joins IBEAR from Booz Allen Hamilton, a global strategy and technology consulting firm. In his six years with Booz Allen, Mr. Gallagher served commercial and government clients across global transportation, technology, and defense sectors where he focused on strategic planning, IT portfolio management, regulatory compliance, and organizational change. While at Booz Allen, Mr. Gallagher’s service included recognition with the Booz Allen Excellence Award, the firm’s most prestigious award, which recognizes projects that generate the highest impact and most meaningful results for clients. Before joining Booz Allen, Mr. Gallagher served as a legislative staff member in the office of U.S. Congressman John N. Hostettler. Mr. Gallagher holds a bachelor’s degree in managerial and organizational communication from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA. Following IBEAR, Mr. Gallagher intends to continue working in the management consulting industry.
*Deborah Han joins the IBEAR program with 10 years of experience in architecture, urban planning and real estate development. Her most recent firm, AGI Capital, is a San Francisco-based real estate development, management and investment firm specializing in high-density urban infill projects in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. There, she helped manage the construction of a 200+ unit, $60M residential project in San Francisco. Before joining to AGI Capital, she worked as an urban planner for the City of Walnut Creek for nine years. As an urban planner, she managed construction projects, analyzed land use policies, reviewed architectural plans, prepared environmental documents and monitored regulatory compliance with federal, state and local laws. Ms. Han earned her bachelor’s degree in architecture from University of California, Berkeley. Upon matriculation, she intends to work in real estate development and eventually start her own real estate development firm.
*Brad Hullsiek brings a unique background to the IBEAR program. With five years of human capital experience, Mr. Hullsiek has provided expertise as both an internal and external consultant to entities such as Sprint Nextel, Kenexa, and the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. As project director, he has served a range of industries, including government, telecom, and healthcare. He last worked as a TechVenture Development Associate for the Nebraska Business Development Center where he created new business channels between the US military and manufacturing firms. Having acquired a B.A. from Indiana University, Mr. Hullsiek followed his aspirations to extrapolate practical research into actionable business initiatives by attaining an M.A. and PhD in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Nebraska. He remains current on emerging trends by publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at national conferences. Following IBEAR, Mr. Hullsiek intends to continue his work with human capital consulting.
*Danbee Kim joins IBEAR with seven years of experience in marketing and sales for consumer and manufacturing industries. Most recently, she worked for five years as an account manager for Samsung Chemical (USA), managing sales and development of accounts throughout North America. Fluent in Korean and English, she created marketing and sales strategies through her analysis of CRM through systems such as POS and SAP for international firms to boost business opportunities. Her experience ranges from negotiating sales terms to creating product launches and promoting brand images. Ms. Kim earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from University of California, Irvine. After IBEAR, she intends to work for a global firm in business management and development to expand the firm’s market in the international world.
*Jaideep Singh joins the IBEAR MBA Program with a unique blend of corporate and entrepreneurial work experience. Mr. Singh began his career in finance working for multinational companies such as Bloomberg LP, AIG Global Investment Group, and Goldman Sachs. During his time at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Singh developed proficiency in working with credit derivatives and was promoted to Credit Derivative Technical Specialist. Mr. Singh then transitioned to Excelhigh Inc, a family-owned business conglomerate specializing in wholesale apparel. While at Excelhigh, he streamlined business operations, including their overseas supply chain, as well as fostered two new clothing divisions. Mr. Singh earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the School of Management at Boston University completing a triple major in finance, operations management, and entrepreneurship in addition to earning a minor in economics. Following IBEAR, Mr. Singh intends to explore opportunities in international business strategy and management consulting.
*Charles Tarone joins the IBEAR MBA Program after more than five years in the financial industry. Most recently, Mr. Tarone served as a hedge fund analyst at Cambridge Associates, a world-leading international investment advisory firm. As a hedge fund analyst, Mr. Tarone evaluated portfolio performance and measured asset allocation for a myriad of clients, including major college and university endowments, pension funds, foundations, and other institutional investors as well as private investors. Additionally, Mr. Tarone composed research briefs and quantitative analyses on over 30 hedge fund managers that were published and distributed firm wide and presented to clients. Prior to his time at Cambridge Associates, Mr. Tarone worked at The Hanover Insurance Group as a financial analyst. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Loyola University Maryland. Upon graduation, Mr. Tarone intends to pursue a career in brand management.
*Talon J. Vazquez comes to IBEAR from J&M Machine LLC, a small family owned manufacturing business specializing in machined metal and plastic components for the aerospace industry. As an Assistant Quality Assurance Manager, Mr. Vazquez primarily led product inspection, trained personnel in proper inspection techniques, and developed new quality assurance procedures. Additionally Mr. Vazquez worked closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to gather and report to the other members of top management on key performance indicators. Furthermore, Mr. Vazquez often took on a range of other responsibilities, regularly acting as a project manager, IT support, CNC machine operator, and shipping/ receiving clerk. Mr. Vazquez has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington. Once Mr. Vazquez has concluded his studies at IBEAR, he intends to complete certifications in aerospace auditing and financial analysis while pursuing a career in venture capital.
*Allison Wiggin joins IBEAR with six years of experience in financial services from Bloomberg LP, where she was most recently senior account manager, responsible for growth and development of mid-size broker-dealers in NYC. She is certified in the equity and fixed income markets, with an advanced certification in equity derivatives. She began on the global customer support and analytics help desk as a product specialist assisting clients in English and French. In sales, she managed the equity business of a major investment bank and was recognized as top sales person for leadership and creativity in displacing competitive services and increasing market share in an economic downturn. Ms. Wiggin is also a former captain of Team USA and international gold medalist in synchronized figure skating. She holds a B.A. in history and French from the College of the Holy Cross. Following IBEAR, Ms. Wiggin intends to pursue a career in management consulting.
*Wendy Zaw joins the IBEAR MBA program as a regional sales representative from Tian Ying Inspection
Co., Ltd., her family’s business in Dong Guan, China. She is also an entrepreneur and a co-founder of
CaliVino, a company specializing in exporting California wines to emerging markets. She founded CaliVino
with her husband, Tin Zaw, and some of his USC EMBA classmates. Prior to this, Wendy worked as a
sales executive at Global Airtech, a worldwide distributor and trader of aftermarket aircraft parts, and as an
assistant to the general manager at ACME Accessories, an importer and wholesaler. Wendy grew up in
Hong Kong, obtained her BSc in fabric design and production at De Montfont University in the United
Kingdom, and has lived in Los Angeles since 2002. Following IBEAR, Wendy intends to expand and grow
her businesses.
*Zhitao Zhang brings to the IBEAR program over ten years of collective experience in telecommunications engineering, financial services, and teaching. Mr. Zhang has worked as a senior engineer and a sales manager for two Fortune 500 companies in the U.S., where he made major contributions to solving technical issues and served hundreds of individual clients. Prior to joining IBEAR, he worked at Longre Group, an educational services company headquartered in Shanghai, China, where he provided consulting service for over 100 clients regarding overseas study matters. He earned a Bachelor of Science in physics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
