Canada

*Ling-Yi (Carol) Chou joins the IBEAR Program with a passion for marketing. Ms. Chou has previously worked at Foxlink International Inc. as an account manager under the Accessory Business Group. She managed five major consumer electronics accounts in California after being relocated to San Jose. She managed each product from development to launch. Ms. Chou obtained two years of marketing experience at IBM prior to Foxlink. She coordinated marketing events for an entire business unit. Ms. Chou earned her Bachelor’s degree at University of British Columbia. Following IBEAR, Ms. Chou plans to work as a marketing consultant for American companies targeting Asia markets.

 

China

*Yue Xi (CiCi) Chen joins the IBEAR MBA Program from Peiport Scientific Ltd., which is an innovative company that promotes high-tech instruments both via importing and its own R&D team. There she obtained and honed the business skills to manage a comprehensive company. Previously Ms. Chen worked at Tohai Trading, an import and export company in Toronto, Canada. At Tohai Trading, Ms. Chen achieved success in areas such as marketing, production, sales, product development and HR . As an assistant manager, she developed several new business lines. Ms. Chen is a self-motivated entrepreneur who started her Internet-based business in 2004. She established more than 400 customers in Canada. Cici has a B.S. in Photonics Engineering from McMaster University in Canada. After IBEAR, Ms. Chen seeks a strategic management position in international sales.

*Yan Lin joins the IBEAR MBA Program from Intel Corporation with 9 years of experience in production line management and product development. Most recently, Ms. Lin led a R&D team to develop the key function of high-performance flash memories and improve productivity. Prior to this, she supervised a team of product engineers to setup and to qualify the manufacturing line for mass-production, and managed whole product life cycles. Ms. Lin earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. Ms. Lin has strong analytical and problem solving abilities, technical knowledge and project management skills. Following IBEAR, she intends to further her career in the managerial aspects of technology, production and operation.

*Jia (Jerry) Yao joins the IBEAR Program both as an entrepreneur in the sports and entertainment industry as well as M&A and private placement analyst from China's top investment bank-eCapital. In 2003, Mr. Yao founded the Dragoncity X-game marketing company to organize international X-games events in China. Operating for more than 5 years, Mr. Yao's team enhanced the public's recognition of X-games in China. Previously, Mr. Yao used his analytical skills to provide M&A and private placement financial services to local entrepreneurial enterprises. In 2010, as the financial advisor of top online media enterprise PPTV, raised 2 billion dollars which was the biggest private placement event at that time in China. Mr. Yao earned his Bachelor’s degree in International Trade from Shanxi University of Finance & Economics. After IBEAR Program, Mr. Yao intend to continue his career in investment banking, fledgling Chinese sports and entertainment companies.

*Jia Zhai joins the IBEAR MBA program from Google. As an account manager in Google, Mr. Zhai provided strategic online marketing consulting to Google’s premium partners, such as Amazon and Expedia. His consulting includes online marketing, budget planning, tracking system implementation, e-commerce process, search engine marketing and website optimization. Mr. Zhai also took charge in small and medium business marketing in Google’s Greater China area: mainland, Hongkong, and Taiwan. He frequently traveled among cities in Greater China to initiate marketing campaigns, sign co-marketing partnerships and build call centers. Mr. Zhai got a B.S. in Computer Science from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He also worked as a research assistant in South Korea sponsored by the Korean government, and then earned an M.S. in Industrial Engineering & Information System in South Korea.

Hong Kong

*Chun Chung (Johnny) Yeung joins the IBEAR program with extensive experience in marketing, sales and international business development. Most recently, he worked for Nikon, a multinational corporation and global leader in the optical industry. He led the efforts to improve client relationships, which helped the business to achieve stability during the recession. Previously, Mr. Yeung held a sales management position in Tatung, Canada. He successfully expanded the business to new distribution and retail channels, achieving $10 million in revenue. Before this job, he joined a mid-size company as an optical engineer. He accomplished a technological breakthrough that improved the product functionality and efficiency. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from McMaster University. Following IBEAR, Mr. Yeung seeks a strategic management position in international sales and marketing.

India

*Sudhir Bhatti joins the IBEAR MBA program with extensive expertise in product management, marketing & technology. Most recently, as the VP Digital Marketing at iXiGO, a global travel search engine, he drove the online marketing strategy and shaped the roadmap of future product. Previously, as an entrepreneur, he successfully built two of the most popular niche job sites and the leading automotive blog in less than two years. He has also managed multicultural teams at Fidelity Investments Boston while leading project management activities for Fidelity’s Legal Technology group. He earned a Master’s in Computer Applications from the University of Jammu with a University 1st Rank and Gold Medal for academic excellence and is very passionate about product management and marketing. Following IBEAR, he intends to further his career at an Internet / high-tech firm or a management consulting organization.

*Neerja Bhawasinka joins the IBEAR Program with more than 10 years of experience in product development at Alcatel-Lucent, a leading telecommunications company. She has led multinational teams from across Asia, EU and the USA, playing a key role in research and development of many features in the company’s different wireless telecom products. She worked closely with the customer interfacing teams to provide technical support to customers during network upgrades. As a member of the quality process deployment team in the organization, she audited and inspected various projects for quality adherence. She has won multiple awards for professional excellence during her career. Ms. Bhawasinka holds a company sponsored Master’s degree in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Barkatullah University, India. After the IBEAR MBA Program, she intends to pursue a career in business development in High-Tech Industry.

*Arjun Chaudhary joins the IBEAR MBA program with experience in software development and business development in information technology and the defense industry. Most recently, he worked at Rolta India Ltd as an associate manager in charge of business development of C4I (Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Intelligence) solutions. He managed a team of solution consultants and sales professionals for strategic defense accounts such as Soldier System solutions and Battlefield Management System. Prior to that, he worked at Pyramid IT Consulting as a business process management consultant where he customized and implemented end-to-end workflow management, business intelligence and document management solutions for clients from the government, energy, entertainment and hi-tech industries. His clients include Airtel, Siemens and The Weather Channel. Mr. Chaudhary holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Pune University. Following IBEAR, Mr. Chaudhary intends to join a management consulting firm or a hi-tech company.

*Rohit Gupta brings a unique blend of semiconductor technology acumen, high-performance team development, and a drive for business results to the Marshall IBEAR MBA program. Prior to Marshall, he was a senior design engineer with Freescale Semiconductor. At Freescale, he built and led a team responsible for verification of system on chip peripherals. Under his leadership, the group identified many catastrophic design failures and improved productivity by 15%. Before transitioning to design, he was a product engineer with Hewlett Packard Singapore/USA. He owned manufacturing processes, design, and electrical specifications of more than 10 print heads. His transnational team brought off $10M print head manufacturing transfer (USA to Asia) and streamlined quality and communication processes across the value chain. He owns many intellectual properties in the field of semiconductors. Rohit earned his graduate degree in electrical engineering from NUS, Singapore and undergraduate degree in materials engineering from IIT, Kanpur, India.

*Hanisha Jagtiani has six years of experience in the information technology, food service, real estate, and insurance industries. She started her career as a software developer at Infosys Technologies Ltd., and moved ahead to launch a business venture called Webdhaba, an online food ordering service, with her IT expertise and business acumen. She was nominated for the prestigious Economic Times “Power of Business Idea” award. She was also involved in her family business called Jagtiani Group, a real estate company, as the head of marketing, and created project reports and business plans. Ms. Hanisha earned a B.E. degree in Information Technology from University of Mumbai. Being an all-rounder, she was honored as the best student. Following IBEAR, Hanisha intends to work as a strategic planner or business / marketing consultant.

*Abhinav Mittal joins the IBEAR Program with extensive experience in marketing, sales and international business development within the media broadcasting industry. Most recently, he held the position of Regional Sales Director (India & Middle East) at WideOrbit Inc., San Francisco, a leading broadcast software company with an annual turnover of $40 million. Abhinav successfully created 10 new accounts and led the client servicing functions, contributing 80% of the company’s overall international business and an order book revenue of $3.7 million. He previously worked at ENCO Systems, Detroit, as India Operations Manager and set up the Indian office for new product launches, sales and support, resulting into sales of $800k within one year. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering from BITS Pilani. Following IBEAR, Abhinav seeks a management position in international business development with a multinational services or a consulting firm.

Japan

Tomoshiro Hamura is sponsored by Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co. Ltd. (TMNF), a leading insurance company in Japan. He is an actuary with a specialty in quantitative analysis and has 11 years’ experience working in product development, corporate accounting, and risk management. Most recently, Mr. Hamura was responsible for an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) project where he developed an integrated fair valuation system for the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). In this project, he was a project manager in charge of multiple divisions and led more than 50 people. As an actuary, he also designed risk financing solutions for several commercial line clients including strategic planning and financial projections. Mr. Hamura holds a Bachelor’s degree in urban engineering from the University of Tokyo. Following the IBEAR program, Mr. Hamura will continue his career with TMNF.

*Mitsuhiro Hatori joins the IBEAR program after working for Hewlett-Packard 11 years, a leading IT company in the world. As a sales manager in business intelligence division, Mr. Hatori launched new BI solutions using newly acquired Database technology. His role covers wide area such as strategic collaboration planning, product marketing and execution. For years, he has played a key role in initiating new solutions and launching RFID market tailoring corporate strategy as well as overachieving sales targets by 80%. He created new support service to differentiate the company from competitors. Eventually it became a corporate service globally. He has previously worked in the Semiconductor industry, taking initiatives to launch foundry business with Silicon-valley companies. Mr. Hatori holds a bachelor’s degree in international economy from Sophia University. Following IBEAR, Mr. Hatori intends to join work in a regional business development, focused on corporate strategic planning.

*Norio Kaji joins IBEAR from Jupiter Telecommunication. Jupiter is the largest Multiple System Operator (MSO) in Japan that provides TV, internet and phone services. Mr. Kaji worked in the accounting department as a Deputy General Manager and prepared consolidated financial statements to investors and JASDAQ. He practiced U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to support and present the financial information for Jupiter and their 30+ subsidiaries. He also played a key role in the due diligence and post-merger integration of multiple acquisition projects. Mr. Kaji has a B.S. in Business Administration from Keio University, in Tokyo, where he majored in Business and Commerce. Following IBEAR, Mr. Kaji intends to work for a multi-national corporation in a managerial accounting position.

Kyosuke Kawaguchi is sponsored by JFE Steel Corporation, the seventh largest steel manufacturer in the world. For the first half of his 13-year career at JFE, Mr. Kawaguchi served as a production planner at a factory. For the latter half, he was at the headquarters solving inter-sectional problems and business operation reengineering for production, sales and logistics departments, from the viewpoint of a production planner. Recently, as a $6 million-budgeted project leader, he launched a new sales and production planning system to cope with dramatically-changing market environments. He also served as an internal lecturer, while establishing internal guidelines for production control. Mr. Kawaguchi earned a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Management from Hitotsubashi University. Following IBEAR, he will return to JFE and pursue strategies for an international steel business expansion.


*Daisuke Kobayashi brings to the IBEAR MBA Program 13 years of life insurance industry experience. After joining AXA Life Insurance Co., Japan, a global French company, in 1998, he polished his business development skills through organizing direct marketing process, managing agent sales, and building a new business model sales branch during his first six years. In the second phase of his career, with PMP and Six Sigma certifications, he developed project management skills by leading process reengineering, global finance, and human resources projects. In addition, he enhanced performance management and decision making skills by operating the company project governance process. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. Following IBEAR, He plans to pursue a managerial position of a strategic planning, marketing, or business development department in an international firm.

Kei Kobayashi joins the IBEAR Program from Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd.(TMNF), a leading insurance company in Japan. Mr. Kobayashi recently managed a sales division for Japan’s prominent engineering firms and steel manufacturers, evaluating risk and arranging insurance programs for both foreign and domestic construction projects. He also led a team to develop the country’s largest aviation products liability insurance programs with reinsurers. Previously, he was in charge of business promotion and the training of over 100 sales agents, as well as launching a new retail insurance product and a sales approach, unprecedented in Japan’s insurance industry. Mr. Kobayashi earned a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Nanzan University. Following IBEAR, he seeks a managerial position in TMNF’s overseas subsidiary.

*Ritsuko Miyauchi joins the IBEAR program from Ernst & Young Shinnihon LLC, a global accounting firm. In her four years with the company, Ms. Miyauchi provided a variety of accounting consultations, such as implementation of International Financial Standard Report, business process improvement, internal control and internal audit, and analysis of enterprise risk management as a licensed USCPA. She served consulting under accounting divisions in many industries including banking, construction machinery, merchandising, and pharmaceutical. Ms. Miyauchi previously worked at ABeam Consulting Ltd., one of top Japanese management and IT consulting firm. Ms. Miyauchi has a B.A. of Economics from Doshisha University, Japan. After IBEAR, she intends to work at a business management consulting firm and work with global companies.

*Kyoko Ninomiya has 10 years experience in the medical device business. Most recently, she worked as an individual technical advisor of medical devices, including polygraphs, supervising medical engineers. Previously, she worked for four years with St. Jude Medical Japan Co., Ltd., the Japanese subsidiary of St. Jude Medical Inc., a global American medical device manufacturer. As the first female senior technical sales representative in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division, she earned many awards, such as the monthly MVP and the No. 2 sales representative of 2007, amongst 200 employees. She passed The International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners test, becoming one of the first successful examinees in Japan. She also worked previously for Nihon Kohden Co., Ltd., Japan's leading medical electronic equipment manufacturer, as a technical specialist/sales promoter. She earned her B.A. in French Studies from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies. Post-MBA, she intends to work in the medical industry.

*Hiroaki Shintani joins the IBEAR Program with 10 years of experience at Hewlett-Packard Japan, Ltd. He has extensive experience in the IT industry, such as IT strategy planning, technical consulting and project management. Most recently, as a technical consultant he led and coordinated wide-ranging business units, including product marketing, system integration and finance department, to deliver industry-leading private cloud platforms with HP Singapore and HP China. Before that, he delivered many mission-critical IT systems for Japanese enterprises as a project manager with a strong technical background. Mr. Shintani earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Information and Communication Engineering from the University of Tokyo. Following IBEAR, Mr. Shintani intends to pursue a career in marketing or business development in a global IT/internet company.

*Ryu Shiotake has nine years professional experience mainly in financial and managerial accounting. Most recently, he spent six years as a Senior Financial Analyst at HOYA Corp. (HOYA), a leading global company in advanced optics. He was responsible for reporting monthly and quarterly financial analysis to all officers, including the CEO, COO, and CFO. In addition, when HOYA acquired Pentax Corp., he became a core member of a team that developed post integration process in accounting systems and procedures, and globally trained over 100 staff. He was also responsible for preparation of statutory consolidated financial statements and corporate annual reports. Mr. Shiotake has a B.A. in Japanese Literature from Waseda University. Following IBEAR, he plans to return to HOYA as a manager to globally conduct business development and finance.

Daisuke Sumiya is sponsored by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., a global machinery manufacture. For international infrastructure projects, Mr. Sumiya has seven years experience as an electrical chief engineer and five years experience as a field operating manager leading partner companies and clients in foreign countries. He also has two years experience in promoting and marketing for an urban railway system. For the last two years, he has managed engineers for various projects in his home office. Mr. Sumiya has a B.S. in Electrical and Electric Engineering from Chuo University. After IBEAR, Mr. Sumiya intends to continue working with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. Yoshinobu Takahashi is sponsored by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Inc., one of the largest manufacturing companies in Japan. He has 12 years of experience in managing international projects. Most recently, he was the Project Control Manager responsible for the cost and schedule of a $600M polyethylene plant, the biggest in the world, in Singapore. Additionally, as a lead Project Controller of a consortium of seven Japanese firms, he managed the schedule of the Taiwan High Speed Rail project, a $7B project that required collaboration with 23 other contractors. Korea

*Sae Jin Cheon joins the IBEAR MBA Program with 11 years of experience in accounting and corporate finance. As a Certified Public Accountant at Deloitte Korea (Anjin Accounting Corporation), he accumulated skills and experience in the finance and management fields. He has monitored internal control systems as a registered auditor and a member of the Board of Directors at Shine System Corporation. Most recently, he established an investment advisory company, and at the same time joined Samduck Accounting Corporation where he provided advice, based on his extensive business experience in founding and running his own company. Mr. Cheon earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yonsei University. After IBEAR, he intends to work in investment banking and eventually would like to become a private equity fund manager.

Dae Hyun Chung is sponsored by Sampyo Corporations, the leading company in manufacturing and distributing basic construction materials in Korea. Dae Hyun has worked at Sampyo for five years with extensive experience in aggregate logistics, Ready-mixed-concrete systems enhancement and procurement process optimization. Prior to his entrance, he was Director of the Management Support Headquarters and coordinated with top management in regards to overall status of the company. He also forecasted the construction material market and developed strategic planning. Following IBEAR, Dae Hyun intends to continue to help Sampyo Corporations maintain its success in the Korean market while furthering its international operations to become one of the most competitive companies in the global market.

*Jae wook (Jake) Han has nine years of marketing and sales experience in IT and financial service industries. Most recently, he spent six years at NICE Information Service (NICE), a leading consumer credit information provider (Credit Bureau) in Korea. He made several strategic alliances with many financial institutions and Internet companies in Korea. After he took charge of the e-business team for the last two years, his team was the highest performing in the company in both sales revenue and profit. Before he joined NICE, he started his career at IBM Korea as a brand specialist. He analyzed customer needs and proposed solutions for IT infrastructure optimization mostly to the small and medium-sized businesses. Mr. Han has a B.A in English language and literature and Master’s in Economics both from Yonsei University. Following IBEAR, Mr. Han intends to return to NICE helping the company to expand its businesses to overseas.

In Jae Hwang joins the IBEAR program from S-OIL Corporation, one of the most profitable oil refining companies in South Korea. As part of the Refining Planning & Analysis Team, he developed the long-term and annual capital budget for refinery, managing the data for preliminary and final budget reports and assisting management’s decision making process. In addition, he prepared monthly budget analysis reports comparing capital expenses to budgets along with budget deviation analysis. He also evaluated the refinery-wide performance and made the refinery’s quarterly performance review report to present to the Board of Directors of S-OIL, Saudi Aramco and Korean Air. Mr. Hwang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Hanyang University in Korea. He will be returning to S-OIL Corporation upon completion of IBEAR program.

Do Hyoung (Daniel) Kim is sponsored by LG Fashion, Korea’s fashion industry leader that creates lifestyles for people by incorporating feeling into products and services. Mr. Kim joined IBEAR with 11 years of experience in merchandising, sales and strategy planning at LG Fashion. Before that, he was in charge of marketing and sales in Daewoo Motors Poland Branch. As a merchandiser, he launched Daniel Hechter Brand and led various projects and implemented product strategy for DAKS Golf Brand. Most recently, he developed a new merchandising planning process and provided a monthly report to the Board of Directors that analyzed market circumstance and brands’ performance. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Trade from Konkuk University with a full tuition scholarship. Following IBEAR, Mr. Kim hopes to make further contributions to LG Fashion and to become a respected leader in fashion industry.

Jun Hwan (Jay) Kim joins the IBEAR Program with 13 years of professional experience in the Finance and Treasury department of Korean Air, a leading global airline. Most recently, he held the position of Senior Manager of Finance Department and made significant contributions to Korean Air’s aircraft financing, global bond issuance and working captial financing. In addition, he helped to maintain and operate many overseas subsidiaries (leasing company, hotel and cargo joint venture), of Korean Air. By completing many aircraft financings, he contributed to setting up an aircraft financing model and applied it to the business environment of Finance Department. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics in Yonsei University. Following graduation from the IBEAR, he will return to Korean Air and plans to move to another division of the company and make further contributions to enhance Korean Air’s reputation as a respected leader in the global top-tier airline community.

Seung Hoo (Kimshoo) Kim is sponsored by S-OIL Corporation, one of leading oil refiners in the Asia-Pacific region. Before being assigned to the Overseas Department, Mr. Kim worked as a refining process engineer who provided technical support and troubleshooting. Recently he analyzed global crude oil markets including supply and demand, financial markets and geopolitical issues. He also secured the crude oil sourcing strategy by performing energy supply forecast, price evaluation and technical research to improve profit. Mr. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Seoul National University. Following the IBEAR program, Mr. Kim intends to continue his career in the Overseas Department of S-OIL.

HuiKang Lee is sponsored by STX Engine Corporation, one of the leading global companies in the manufacturing of diesel engines. Mr. Lee has six years of experience in design and technical marketing of military purpose diesel engines. Since 2005, he has successfully completed major military projects and executed new proto-type projects. In addition, he managed a Task Force Team which diagnosed comprehensive production process and resolved critical technical issues for two years. Most recently, he has been in charge of license agreement and technical cooperation with oversea’s partners. Mr. Lee earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Yeung Nam University and a Master’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University. After IBEAR, he will return to STX Engine to make further contributions to reinforce STX Engine’s global position in diesel engines and marine equipments industry.

Jonghoon Lim comes to IBEAR with nine years of experience in managing pharmaceutical, IT, and medical device companies. He was fortunate to work at three different related companies governed by Hanmi Pharmaceutical in Korea, giving him the opportunity to view one issue from different perspectives. He impacted company decisions as well as human resources, technical development, strategic investments, partnerships and international businesses. He established Hanmi Japan in 2007, making a $2M active pharmaceutical ingredients deal between Hanmi Fine Chemical and Japanese pharmaceutical company. Also, he started and managed $6M radio frequency identification project for Hanmi Pharmaceutical to monitor each product on their supply networks to control counterfeit drugs and efficient distribution to 12,000 pharmacies. Mr.Lim has B.A. in Business Management from Bentley College in Boston. He seeks another business opportunity to extend operation of Hanmi Pharmaceutical in the United States.

*SangJin (Ed) Mun joins the IBEAR Program with nine years experience at LG Electronics. As a Six-Sigma Black Belt, he improved mass production lines and the quality of products. Afterwards, he worked as a manager in the corporate technology management team for four years. His main role there was to coordinate C-level top management meetings with global companies. He also set up the meeting strategy so that LG could effectively discuss company-wide issues, which include establishing Joint Venture Company and implementing R&D collaboration projects. Recently, he has broadened his professional knowledge of accounting and finance by passing exams - U.S. CPA, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, and CFA level I. Mr. Mun earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Following IBEAR, he intends to work for a CPA firm or the financial industry in Southern California.

Syungyoun (S.Y.) Nam joins IBEAR with seven years of experience in software engineering and general management. During his management rotation program at Pulmuone U.S.A., the U.S. subsidiary of Pulmuone Holdings that is a leading organic/natural food manufacturer in South Korea, he was a part of the post merger integration team where he successfully implemented the financial reporting system of the acquired company. Prior to that, Mr. Nam worked as a software engineer in mobile phone division of Samsung electronics for five years. While at Samsung, he led numerous projects to customize and develop new features of mobile phones for major mobile network operators in North America and Europe such as AT&T, Orange, Hutchison, and Rogers. He earned a M.S. degree in Computer Science at Brown University. Following IBEAR, Mr. Nam intends to work in an international consulting firm, focused on business development and marketing strategy in East Asia.

Most recently, he has worked as a director at Cheonji Accounting Corporation, where led teams to perform tax due diligences, set up Internal Control systems for Financial Reporting, and set up IFRS systems for listed companies in Korea. Lebanon

*Marc Badran joined the IBEAR program from Saad Group, a conglomerate company based in Saudi Arabia. As a senior designer and a media project manager, Mr. Badran was responsible for all design projects ranging from advertising and media campaigns to production and delivery. Prior to that, he worked as an operations manager in Boulos Group, a regional supplier of granite, marble and natural stone. He was responsible for all contract agreements, purchase orders and clients proposals, as well as for the operations and product execution. He is also the co-owner of “L'ancre” seafood restaurant, located on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean sea. Mr. Badran earned a B.S. in Design from the Lebanese American University, he is fluent in Arabic, French and English. Following IBEAR, Marc intends to work with an international firm focused on business management consulting.

Mexico

Patricio Gonzalez Porte has experience in purchasing, strategic planning, supply chain management and sales. Most recently, he held the position of Supply Chain Manager at Don Colchon Group, a leading Mexican bedding product manufacturer and retailer that provides consumers with sleep and comfort solutions. He developed strategic organizational changes through the creation of cross functional teams, the internationalization of core raw materials and introduction of high-end products. To date, the company has not only doubled revenues and raised margin by 6%, but also reduced liability by 54%. Recently, Mr. Gonzalez Porte served on the board of directors for Don Colchon group and for the Association of Furniture Manufacturers of Nuevo Leon. Gonzalez-Porte earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Industrial Engineering from ITESM (Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey). Peru

*Elena Bosio joins the IBEAR program with a background in civil engineering and an extensive career in international marketing. Originally from Perύ, Ms. Bosio moved to the United States in 2001 and was appointed to manage the international marketing department for Compulink Management Center, Inc., a U.S. based software company with operations in 63 countries. She was instrumental in driving 80% sales growth in the LATAM region as well as increasing brand awareness in EMEA and Asia. After five years with the company, Ms. Bosio was appointed to Director of Global Public Relations. Her strategic PR efforts coupled with her client relationship-building skills led to press coverage in U.S. and international high profile media such as the LA Times, The Economist and the BBC of London. Ms. Bosio has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Cátolica del Perύ and a Marketing Certficate from UCLA Extension.

Philippines

*Marcella Go is a seasoned banker with experience in marketing and relationship management. She worked for Bank of Singapore (formerly ING Asia Private Bank), Asia’s leading global private bank as Vice President of Marketing. In her role, she was responsible for providing investment advisory services across asset classes and wealth planning solutions to high net worth individuals. Previously, she worked at ING Bank Manila Investment Management division covering Institutional Sales. Ms. Go earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management of Financial Institutions and graduated Cum Laude from De La Salle University. After IBEAR, Ms. Go is interested in pursuing a strategic management position in sales and marketing.

Sri Lanka

*Shane Valentine joins IBEAR with extensive corporate finance experience. Most recently, he spent four years as a Financial Consultant in Financial Planning and Analytics at Wells Fargo Capital Finance (WFCF), a leading commercial banking subsidiary at Wells Fargo. At WFCF he created, adapted, developed, and presented essential models to CFO and President. Additionally, he was lead finance representative during the GMAC portfolio acquisition in 2010. A consummate professional, he was promoted three times in his four year stint, responsible for forecasting, budgeting and ad hoc reporting. His accomplishments include an Award of Excellence in Finance in 2009 for strategic planning during the Wells Fargo/Wachovia Merger. Mr. Valentine has a B.A. in Finance with a concentration in G.L.O.B.E. - Global Learning Opportunities and Business Experience; and a minor in Business Law and Ethics from Fordham University. Following IBEAR, Mr. Valentine intends to work in the international business marketplace.

Taiwan

*Fu Yuan Chang joins IBEAR with seven years of experience in financial and accounting professional services. Before joining IBEAR, he worked five years at Gelfand, Rennert, & Feldman, LLP, one of the best business management firms focused on high-net worth clients in the entertainment industry. There, Mr. Chang was a CPA, and one of the team members who assisted clients in achieving their financial goals through tax and finance planning and compliance. In his role, he analyzed and forecasted financial statements and provided tax service. Prior to joining the GR&F, LLP, he worked in the public accounting firm serving small business clients. Mr. Chang earned his B.A. in Economics from Chinese Culture University and Master of Accounting degree from The College of William & Mary. *Chih-Yi Chang joins the IBEAR program from Deloitte Taiwan, an international accounting and consulting firm, where he has been working since 2003. As an auditing manager, he successfully led his team to execute over 30 auditing and taxes projects for clients, including Taiwan listed corporations and global enterprises. The companies, which Mr. Chang served, are involved in manufacturing, estate development, hospitality and financial industries. In addition to coping with complex accounting issues, Mr. Chang advised clients on operation planning, capital integration, design of ownership structure and tax consideration. Mr. Chang earned a master’s degree in Accounting from National Taiwan University and is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) as well as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Taiwan. Following IBEAR, Mr. Chang intends to work with an international consulting firm in Asia.

*Hsu-Feng Ho joins the IBEAR Program from MediaTek Inc., a global TOP five IC design company for wireless communications and multimedia solutions. Mr. Ho filed 50+ patents in the first five years as an engineer at MediaTek. In the second five years, he served as product marketing manager to hold strategic planning and business development for different products, including GPS, processor and handset. After 2010, Mr. Ho was responsible for strategic investments and acquisitions in the finance department. As the program manager of the largest merger in MediaTek, he successfully coordinated the integration committee to consolidate Ralink Tech, a well-known Wi-Fi firm with 650 employees, into MediaTek. Mr. Ho obtained both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University. He is also a certified industry analyst and Project Management Professional (PMP). After IBEAR, Mr. Ho intends to join venture capital to work with more entrepreneurs globally.

*Chung-Hsien Huang joins the IBEAR program from TECO Nanotech Co., Ltd., a company of leading CNT (Carbon Nano Tube) research and development in Taiwan. As a researcher, Mr. Huang is responsible for the research and development project of vacuum glass. Within two years, he was granted more than 10 patents from Taiwan, mainland China, and Russia. He not only increased the competitive advantage of the company but also prevented other companies from sharing market. Prior to this, Mr. Huang served in LuxtalTex Corporation. He improved the yield of high power LED from lower than 50% to more than 80% and reduced the cycle time of process, achieving $2.4 million in revenue. Mr. Huang earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nation Central University. Following IBEAR, Mr. Huang seeks a management position at a high-tech, internationally-focused company.

*Chia-Che (Craig), Hsieh joins the IBEAR program after two years working as a co-founder of Transcend Admissions Consultants, LTD. He developed and launched full business and marketing plans and led the firm to be the third largest GMAT preparation institute by market share in Taiwan. Mr. Hsieh is a self-motivated entrepreneur managing several different business functions to respond to changing business needs and marketplace dynamics. Previously, Mr. Hsieh worked as an audit assistant manager at Deloitte & Touche, an international accounting and consulting firm. He led multiple audit teams with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills and provided professional advice to listed companies in accounting, internal control and tax. Mr. Hsieh served as a corporal during his military service after he obtained a Bachelor’s degree of Accounting from National Cheng Kung University. Following IBEAR, Mr. Hsieh intends to work with a start-up firm focused on business management in Asia.

*Wan-Yu (Megan) Li joins the IBEAR MBA Program from Ackton, Inc, a global manufacturer and distributor of automobile equipment. She served as an assistant manager overseeing human resources, developing marketing strategies, directing annual tradeshows in Las Vegas and coordinating various marketing events. Ms. Li was responsible for various programs including office relocation and customer initiation programs. She also supervised the implementation of improved processes. She has demonstrated leadership and has executed cost control measures that significantly reduced annual capital expenditures. Ms. Li earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Taipei Municipal University of Education and M.S. in Recreation and Leisure Study from California State University, Long Beach. She is fluent in Chinese and English. Following IBEAR, Ms. Li intends to pursue a management position with an international firm, focused on marketing in fashion industry.

*Chiao-Lin (Katherine) Wu joins the IBEAR Program with six years of experience in auditing and consulting from Deloitte & Touche, an international accounting and consulting firm. As an assistant manager in the tax department, Ms. Wu was involved in providing tax advice on investment structure planning and business tax due diligence, focused on both the Taiwan and the Mainland China tax regulations. She successfully led over 30 clients to restructure internal operations. Before transferring to the tax department, Ms. Wu served in the audit department, where she managed projects that implemented audit and internal control procedures and assisted companies to be listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Ms. Wu graduated from Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan with two Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Library & Information Science. After IBEAR, she intends to work with an international consulting firm, and then own a consulting business to offer professional services in Asia.

Thailand

*Jarumon Sajjachaiyanont joins the IBEAR Program from Bank of Nova Scotia & Thanachart Bank, Canada’s most international bank in Thailand. As an associate vice president of credit card and personal loans, she oversaw marketing and portfolio management divisions. Her role was to develop marketing, new product and branding, rewards, portfolio optimization, and customer segmentation strategies to grow newly merged products. During a recent organizational integration in her bank, she successfully set up new business platforms, restructured new divisions, and formed new strategic partners with other industry leaders for her bank. Miss Jarumon has solid experience in leading organizational changes with 8 years of experience working with several international companies such as General Electric, American International Group, and ASAHI Beer Japan. Miss Jarumon earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Administration from Thammasat University. After IBEAR, she plans to continue a career in consumer finance.

*Chonlakarn Sirkolkarn joins the IBEAR Program from the New Look Product, a plastic manufacturing company. As a marketing director there, Ms. Sirikolkarn expanded New Look’s products to Pakistan market. Ms. Sirikolkarn has previously worked at SCG Paper as an assistant sales manager. She was responsible for developing a strategy to penetrate new markets targeting modern-trade customers as well as creating sales program and building modern-trade sales team. She negotiated with buyers, trained new supporters and systemized the sales strategies. Ms. Sirikolkarn has a B.S. in Finance and Banking from Chulalongkorn University. She also joined UC Berkeley Extension and had internship with Vantage Communication, an American company located in San Francisco. Following IBEAR, Ms. Sirikolkarn intends to work with an international firm, focused on global marketing consulting in Asia.

United States of America

*Shirlene Chi joins the IBEAR program from the consulting practice at Digitas, a global advertising agency. As a manager in Strategy & Analysis, she led high-level client relationships on the Proctor & Gamble account to drive global strategies, business solutions and ROI analysis. On the Oral Care account, she was the youngest member to sell global business and the first to identify performance drivers across all P&G accounts using regression analysis. She led strategy and performance optimization for brands across social media, display, website, CRM, paid search, SEO, SEM, eCommerce and mobile channels. Shirlene also traveled to China to conduct consumer behavior research for global projects. Prior to Digitas, she worked at Deloitte in accounting and IBM in business development. Shirlene earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Boston University. After IBEAR, Mrs. Chi intends to work for a global firm in marketing or strategy consulting.

*Devin Geniesse joins the IBEAR program as a Series 7 & 63 licensed Equity Trading Consultant. As an Equity Trader, he worked with a leading high-frequency trading company developing trading models, examining market trends and executing trades. Mr. Geniesse also consulted with various companies on budgeting and financial project analyses. He previously worked at Waddell & Reed Financial where he managed hiring of financial advisors in a 12 county area. Mr. Geniesse has a B.S. in Business Administration from Kansas State University where he majored in Finance and was the president of both the Student Advisory Council and Entrepreneurship Club. Following IBEAR, Mr. Geniesse intends to work internationally as a financial consultant.

*Jia Liu joins the IBEAR program from XL Construction, an innovative, fast growing company specializing in high-tech, biopharmaceutical, and health care construction. As the company’s first ever Technology/Process Integration Manager, Mr. Liu led cross-functional studies, formulated operations and marketing strategies, implemented technologies and processes, and launched the company’s Technology/Process Integration Team based on his recommendation to the senior leadership team. Mr. Liu has previously led and contributed to managing a total of $824M in contracts and over 40 subcontractors, general contractors, and design consultants for a $2B global infrastructure consulting firm, a Fortune 500 engineering and construction firm, and the U.S. federal government. Mr. Liu earned his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Following IBEAR, Mr. Liu intends to join an international firm, focusing on strategy or operations consulting.

*Peter Marlenga joins the IBEAR MBA program after more than six years in the education industry, the last five as Director of Operations for Revolution Prep. During this time he was able to see this start-up educational services company grow from 50 employees to now over 600. Along the way Mr. Marlenga was involved in every facet of the company. As Director of Operations, he worked with every department on budget analysis, operational strategy and organizational efficiency. He also was as a member of the marketing team and solely responsible for the direct mail program (over 2 million pieces sent annually) which accounts for over 90% of Revolution Prep’s retail revenue. Mr. Marlenga obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Following IBEAR, he intends to seek a position with an international firm where he can combine his strong analytical abilities with his outgoing personality.

*David Matthews is a management consultant who joined the IBEAR program to strengthen his international network and enhance his operational expertise. Since graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Business Administration, he has worked in corporate strategy, sales, and consulting. Over the past seven years he has created, managed and executed global training and communications approaches for several Fortune 100 clients. As a consultant for Accenture, David worked on multiple outsourcing engagements where he established an expertise in offshore management. Most recently, David managed a consulting team for Logic20/20 and helped that company triple in size over a two year period. While there, he managed several projects at Microsoft and Starbucks, and successfully delivered many business development proposals. Upon graduation, Mr. Matthews intends to work with companies to improve their outsourcing processes.

*Matthew Ng joins USC’s IBEAR Program after working with Océ Business Services, where he was responsible for developing Océ’s Business Intelligence platform. He also managed the implementation of process improvement and IT related projects. Matthew also worked for Honeywell International as a project engineer, where he was responsible for implementing Honeywell’s automation controls solutions at the client’s site. He also spend time at Honeywell’s manufacturing facility where he worked on various Six Sigma projects. Matthew earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. He has lived in both the United States and Hong Kong. Upon graduation, Matthew intends to pursue a career as a management consultant in the area business analytics.
