Curriculum for the future. We offer three masters programs of study to accomodate the diversity of backgrounds and educational pursuits of our students: for application deadline information please follow the links below.

  • Master of Accounting (MAcc)
The MAcc program is a full-time, one-year program in which students study accounting in greater depth than is typically provided in an undergraduate accounting program or MBA program with a concentration in accounting.  Completion of the program qualifies students to sit for the Uniform CPA Exam.
  • Master of Business Taxation (MBT)
The MBT program is a full-time, one-year program that provides a broad understanding of taxation, an appreciation for the complexities of decision-making, and practice in explaining the tax implications of various courses of action.  Completion of the program qualifies students to sit for the Uniform CPA Exam.
  • Master of Business Taxation - Working Professionals (MBT-WP)
The MBT-Working Professionals program is a part-time, evening program designed specifically for students who wish to remain fully employed while pursuing their graduate studies.  This program provides the same rigorous curriculum as the full-time program.  Most students complete the program in two to three years.
  • Progressive Degree (MAcc or MBT)
(**for current USC undergraduate students only)
Progressive Degree refers to a simplified Early Admission to our MAcc or MBT program for select USC students.
The curriculum is identical to our Full-time programs.  It provides an opportunity for outstanding USC undergrads to apply to our graduate programs without going through the regular application process.

Marshall Spotlight

Not having a background in finance, Tony did not anticipate entering the world of accounting; however, an offer from accounting giant PricewaterhouseCoopers was too intriguing to pass up. What was even more surprising was that the one-year, intensive master's in accounting (MAcc) degree from the USC Leventhal School of Accounting was actually fun. "They teach us so much more than just accounting. It's a well-rounded program that really teaches you how to build, grow, and be successful in whatever endeavor you want to undertake."
