Yongzhi Wang is a doctoral candidate in Strategy. His research consists of two streams spanning competitive and collaborative topics: platform-based competition and strategic alliances. His dissertation, sponsored by the Strategy Research Foundation, focuses on competitive strategies in a platform-based market (the mobile app sector) and examines the antecedents and consequences of complementors’ (app developers) mobility across and within competing platforms. His review article on alliance capabilities, coauthored with his academic advisor Professor Nandini Rajagopalan, has been published in the Journal of Management.
