Mat McCubbins is an expert on political economy, administrative agencies, communication and networks. He has authored six books and more than 100 articles, many of which have won prizes and awards, and is regarded as a founding figure of the Positive Political Theory of Law. Professor McCubbins is also an accomplished teacher, having won numerous awards during his career for undergraduate and graduate instruction. He holds joint appointments in the Gould School of Law and Department of Political Science. Prior to joining USC, Professor McCubbins served on the faculty at UC-San Diego, Washington University in St. Louis, and University of Texas.
