The Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies is proud to announce the winners of the 2013 New Venture Seed Competition. These six teams competed against 62 other teams and presented in front of some of the 18 entrepreneurs, angel investors and venture capitalists in the preliminary round to get to the finals. Once the teams reached the finals, they had to pitch to Lloyd Greif, Julia Dilts, co-founder of Maverick Angels, Stephen Block, investor and Managing Director of Trenchant Venture, and Mike Jewell, founder of three publicly traded tech companies.
The first of the two $15,000 winners is Core-Tech, a company that has a revolutionary new way of extracting bone marrow. The second winner is International Career Guide. This company helps international students market themselves to US companies after graduation. There are four $5,000 winners that include MyGymFlow.com, tikr.com, Hip Traveler, and Shanghai Baiji Technology Company.
