Paul Stathacopoulos
Senior Vice President, StrategyCompany:Rovi CorporationPaul joined Rovi Corporation in 2009, and in his current role as senior vice president, product strategy is responsible for leading the definition and execution of the company’s product strategy across Rovi's global product portfolio of guidance, video and advertising products.
Prior to working at Rovi, Paul held the position of vice president of product marketing for Planetweb, Inc. While there, he was responsible for the product vision and strategic direction of all Planetweb products including Planetweb's embedded web browser and the lightweight SpectraWorks user interface technology. Together, these two product lines helped pioneer connected and interactive experiences on game consoles, DVD players, set-tops, digital cameras and mobile devices.
Paul has also held positions at Sega of America, where he was responsible for launching the first online capable video game platform. During his five years at Sega, Paul led the delivery of some of the very first Internet-connected interactive television experiences, setting the stage for the evolution of many of today’s interactive connected consumer devices.
Paul also held positions at Third Voice, Inc. and Space Systems Loral.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from San Jose State University in San Jose, California.
