John Taylor is a partner in the Los Angeles office of KPMG LLP, where he serves as the senior partner in the Banking & Finance segment of the Financial Services practice. He has served as the lead engagement partner on most all of KPMG’s major public financial services clients in Southern California. In addition to his significant client responsibilities, John has had responsibility for overseeing the professional practice, practice development and administrative aspects of the Southern California practice. John began his career with KPMG in August 1973 and was elected to the partnership in 1984.

In addition to being actively involved in the financial services community in Southern California for over 35 years, John has been equally active in civic, community and professional endeavors. He has been active with the United Way of Los Angeles, the Boy Scouts of America-Los Angeles Area Council, as well as the Flintridge Preparatory School in La Canada. He also has served on the Board of Visitors of the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles POPS Orchestra.

John is a cum laude graduate of the School of Business of the University of Southern California (1973) with a B.S. degree. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He and his wife Robin reside in La Canada-Flintridge, California. They have two children- Nicole and Brandon.
