Daniel T. Bane
Chairman and CEO of Trader Joe's CompanyCompany:Trader JoesDan Bane is Chairman and CEO of Trader Joe's Company. Dan was appointed to this position in July 2001. Previously he was President of Trader Joe’s West, the larger of the Company’s two operating divisions. Trader Joe’s, with annual sales over $8 Billion, has 345 specialty grocery stores nationwide and is one of the fastest growing and most successful privately held companies in the country.
Dan graduated from USC in 1969 with a BS in Accounting. After graduation and a foundational period of 13 years in public accounting, he held management positions with professional service, wholesale and retail firms.
Dan and his wife, Sandra, reside in Pasadena.
Dan also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of ABM Industries, the Southern California Sports Council and the Retail Management Institute at Santa Clara University.
