Mission
The Entrepreneur and Venture Management Association (EVMA) is a student-led organization committed to supporting students interested in pursuing dynamic, growth-oriented career opportunities. Rather than focus on a specific industry or function, EVMA promotes the recognition and capitalization of innovative entrepreneurial solutions to business problems faced in fields such as technology, medical science, finance, and entertainment.
EVMA also provides complementary resources in the venture capital and private equity industries for students interested in pursuing alternative asset management careers. Ultimately, the success of EVMA is determined by the breadth of our community's professional and personal diversity, and the depth of member involvement.
Goals
EVMA provides members with access to a dynamic network of entrepreneurs and venture capitalists from USC and the Los Angeles business community. Our speaker events, seminars, and resources provide members with an opportunity to learn about the fundamentals, motivations and interrelationships that drive successful endeavors in entrepreneurship.
Our goals include:
- Providing a forum to encourage and foster new ideas and innovations
- Educating students regarding the challenges and issues faced by the venture management community
- Promoting and further strengthening USC's position as the top graduate school in entrepreneurship
EVMA strives to bring together Marshall students who believe in innovation, not imitation. By putting together entrepreneurially-minded students with various professionals active in the venture management community, EVMA represents a unique resource in your business school experience.
Events
Numerous events scheduled throughout the year put EVMA members in contact with successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and other business participants throughout the Los Angeles community.
