In late summer 2007, the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) Steering Committee unanimously approved an offer from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business to host a meeting of APRU business school deans. APRU (www.apru.org), formed in 1997, is a consortium of 37 leading research universities in the Pacific Rim. APRU aims to foster education, research and enterprise thereby contributing to the economic, scientific and cultural advancement in the Pacific Rim. For a listing of member universities, click here: http://www.apru.org/about/members.htm The overall purpose of this meeting is to explore possible areas of collaboration amongst the APRU member schools in their teaching, research, and outreach activities, as well as to learn from each other in such areas as alumni relations, career services, and fundraising. |
