Dartmouth is beating us, and they're not even in the Pac 12!

Every business school in America gets rated. Whether it's the US News and World Report or Poets and Quants, someone is out there trying to figure out who's #1. A crucial criteria for rankings is the percentage of alums who give back to their school. It often indicates an alum's affinity to the school, and how much value that alum places on the school's real-world network.

According to Poets and Quants, Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business leads: 67% of alums gave back to Tuck last year -- the largest percentage of alumni in the country giving to their alma mater. That's an extraordinarily high figure. Second place belongs to Yale. Virginia's Darden School of Business ranked third.

How did USC Marshall fare? Very well, thank you – we were 13th in the nation. Guess who was ranked ahead of us at number 11? UCLA.

What? Really? Trojans, this is a call to arms. We all know and care about the USC Marshall School of Business. We all know it produces the finest graduates, nurtures the most inspired teachers and has grown the most supportive and active network of alums in the U.S. and beyond.

We need to send our message of success to the world. This is why it is important that every alum give something –twenty dollars, fifty dollars. Some of you may be thinking, "USC has been the fortunate recipient of some major gifts. They just got $150 million dollars; why do they need my twenty bucks?" The answer is: we need your contribution, no matter what amount, because it gives us the ability to say to the world, "The Marshall School of Business gives alumni life-long relationships and connections. The Trojan Family is strong and we are fully behind our school." But the clock is counting down to the final day of this fiscal year—June 30th is a blink away. By making a contribution today, you help to increase the value of your degree.

We have an exceptional school. We educate great leaders and competitors. We don't come in second place, let alone 13th. I believe, our alums will not be defeated, will not surrender until together we climb over UCLA, dig deep and drive past number nine Duke, give and give until we are taking on Dartmouth. This is our time!

Give today and show Tuck how a Trojan rides to victory.

Fight On!
