Stephanie Tan
Stephanie Tan began looking for an MBA program while working as an investment banker. Her mission? To get direction in her career. Ms. Tan wanted an MBA program that offered a flexible curriculum with a strategic focus. She also wanted a school located near leading biotech firms. After one visit to USC Marshall, she says making the choice was simple. "I came here for a visit on 'Admit Weekend,' and was sold. The people I met, and the strong alumni network, really drew me to the school."
Professor Arvind Bhambri, who teaches management and organization, also had an impact on Ms. Tan with his course, Strategy, offered to first-year MBAs. "It was an amazing course, one that really opened my mind and broadened my way of thinking. I believe it added a lot of value to my B-school experience."
After earning her MBA, Ms. Tan accepted an executive position with CapitalSource Finance, a Chevy Chase, Maryland-based firm that helps raise financing for small and mid-sized companies, including companies in the healthcare industry. For Ms. Tan, the road ahead is clear, the prospects limitless.
