Study global management in a truly global learning environment

The IBEAR MBA develops tools for success in global business competition. From August to December, participant complete MBA fundamentals, taught by faculty who understand the international business environment. From January to July, participants take globally focused electives in each critical functional area and then apply skills they have learned to a five-month international consulting project for a U.S. or foreign corporate client. IBEAR courses and program enhancements emphasize business in and between North American, Asia and Latin America, in particular.

The IBEAR MBA attracts an international and accomplished group of managers with global management experience and ambitions. They come from as many as 15 countries. Most are between 28 and 46 years of age. The diversity and experience of participants and faculty make for lively and informed classroom discussions.

Top 10 Ranking in International Business

The Marshall School is ranked in the Top 10 by both the US News and World Report and the Financial Times. IBEAR MBA faculty are full-time members of the Marshall Schools 200 strong faculty. The large scale of the Marshall School and USC provide a broad range of electives, plus education and social events for IBEAR participants.

Alumni hold senior positions in many respected firms around the world. IBEAR alumni come from more than 50 countries. They are part of one of the largest business school and university alumni networks in the world.

Scholarships

IBEAR awards several scholarships of $20,000 - 40,000 to high-potential self-sponsored domestic and international applicants. A Hanjin Endowed Scholarship is provided to Korean or Korean-American national or logistics/transportation focused manager by the Hanjin Group. In addition, a Honjo International Scholarship is awarded to a Japanese applicant.

Study in the heart of Southern California. IBEAR participants benefit from USC's location in the heart of one of the world's most dynamic regional economies. Southern California and Los Angeles benefit more each year from their huge population and landmass, temperate climate, massive ports, and proximity to Asia and Latin America. Sectors of long-time strength include trade, entertainment, manufacturing, defense, aerospace, sports, fashion and design, financial services, leisure and tourism are joined by new economy sectors such as multimedia, ecommerce, venture capital, biotechnology, health care, telecommunications and software development.

Study in Marshall's cutting-edge MBA teaching building

The IBEAR MBA’s state-of-art multimedia case room supports its emphasis on team-based, case-based and project-based learning. Popovich Hall's Keenan Career Services Center includes a large research space for MBA student use and 14 interview rooms. It has a staff of 15 to support the career search process.
